ramadhan is about to end and we r still arguing on this… 
period starts menas fast is broken means u need to make up for that day, whether u hd fasted for half a day or 99% of the day…

I used to think that the ‘unclean’ aspect comes from possible accidents. These days we have great pads with leak-gaurd. But back in the old days they used rags. If a woman is praying or just moving she is not assured proper protection. So she may not focus on prayer due to embarassment and pain.

yh if u come on ur periods during the middle of ur fast then that fast is broken, and ur goign to have to make qadaa of that 1 aswell. although it's best if u don't eat 4 the rest of the day and appear like a fastign person. although u don't have to

I won't mind if you'd ask a question or intervene in a "Men's issue" thread (But there have never been created one). After all, even a woman can tell something "intellegent". See, this is called open mindedness.
And I am not even saying something about the women issues. I am just asking a question, a tiny little baby question. :(

this verse tells us not to perform salat if we are unclean.
*"O you who believe, when you observe the Contact Prayers (Salat ), you shall: *
*wash your faces,
wash your arms to the elbows,
wipe your heads, and your feet to the ankles.
If you were unclean due to sexual orgasm, you shall bathe. If you are ill, or traveling, or had any excretion, or had (sexual ) contact with the women, and you cannot find water, you shall observe the dry ablution (Tayammum) by touching clean dry soil, then rubbing your faces and hands. GOD does not wish to make the religion difficult for you; He wishes to cleanse you and to perfect His blessing upon you, that you may be appreciative." 5:6 *

Nor after sexual intercourse unless you wash, except if you are traveling through the land. if you read this verse it says that women are not clean in menstruation
And they ask you about menstruation: say, "It is harmful; you shall abstain from the women during menstruation and do not approach them until they are cleansed. Once they are cleansed, you may approach them in the manner ordained by GOD. GOD loves the repenters, and He loves those who are pure." 2:222

^ True. But the first two give specific examples of when not to pray salat, and menstruation is not included. I think that's why people get confused.

nope. u can't pray ur salaat when ur on ur periods. u don't even make qadaa of them.

^ You don't make qadaa because you're not required to make up the prayers you missed while menstruating. However, you must make up your fasts that you missed while menstruating.

if your periods start a minute or two before iftar you still have to make up for that. and you are not supposed to eat or drink anything if your period starts after a half day is passed, before that you can break it.
