My stance is actually in line with that of my faith’s. In the Quran it clearly states that men can marry more than once in the case of taking care of widows and orphans, but only if they treat each wife equally and justly. And then it goes on to state that they surely cannot do that (sura 4, verse 129). So I know there have been generations of men justifying polygamy and twisting and ignoring the Quran to make it work, but they are going against the Quran when they do it. The Prophet SAW was better than all other men, but the Quran clearly states the guidelines for the rest of us, and polygamist men break the rules each time. They will have Allah SWT to answer to.

I still don’t understand how people are justifying polygamy when given the verses referenced above?
