the wedding+reception ceremonies are made to last 6 or 7 days, in heat, sweat, big crowds and agonizingly long just so a person would think long and hard about having another wife or marrying again...........who would want to go through that torture a second time around :p
This is not true, I have not met a single Muslim guy personally who uses this allowance as his right and uphold it. Yes most of us do not pray 5 times a day just like most of women do not pray 5 times a day.
Also please understand that Muslim men did not invent Islam so stop using the things that you dont like in Islam against muslim men.

I agree icicle, but you don’t have to be a paanch waqt namaazi to marry 4 wives. You could be a non namazi, non roza keeping dude but if you go and marry a 2nd wife, it’s jaiz . I know, damn, yeah, but unfortunately, it’s their God given right to do that. And like I said, the judgement of that will be done by Allah alone, no matter how much you or I burn our hearts over it.

shariah COMMANDS YOU TO PRAY BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE...one of the first few things you'll be asked about on the day of judgment is whether you fulfilled your salat. it is what it is... God aint gona ask you how many wives you had (that'll be question number 1008 on the list while you account for your actions on this earth)

Agree. The Quran also mentions that it's difficult to treat multiple wives fairly.
Even if things are allowed, they carry consequences....not only for oneself, but others as well. And the consequences of an action (be it polygamy or whatever) need to be considered before making a decision.

Thank god that when you say to a random person 'adultery' or 'cheating husbands' , 'muslim man' does not come to mind. Good or bad, at least polygamy is halal way of having sex.

I know a couple of guys...born and raised in the US. their parents dont stress prayer, roza, zakat, hajj. They watch porn, curse like crazy and eat haram (they dont eat zabiha halal), have had a couple of girlfriends, they drink too... so i'm talking to one of them...and he goes oh yeah i'm muslim i can have four wives...
