Through observation I would say 'men need to feel needed'

  1. Usually if you "vent" to a man, he likes to offer a solution versus a woman who could just listen to you. Sometimes you don't want a solution but men want to offer it because it's in their nature to do that.

  2. This is a common trait in every human being, old or young, man or woman. Men like to know that they make a difference in your life, just like we women do. Most often, we forget this simple requirement and that's where relationships get kinks. It is always nice to let your man know that he is appreciated and that you really cannot do without him. It's not just about financials but even the emotional gap a husband (for example) fills, will remain empty otherwise. That may not be the case if someone is unmarried because they haven't adjusted that way yet. Maybe.

  3. Men need protection as much as we do and they tend to be more private. They have feelings that are sacred to them and do not like to disclose them as easily as we tend to. Once they put themselves in that situation, they expect complete loyalty.
