Except tobacco has no benefits, is addictive, and only causes harm to your body. It’s worse than alcohol, just look at the number of people it kills every year: more than any other drug combined. Justify your behaviour however you want.

My contention is not whether tobacco has benefits or not. My contention is your incorrect interpretation of a Quran verse to prove a personal point of view. There are a million things in this world that can be considered harmful when not dealt with in moderation. Does that mean that Quranic verse applies to all of them?

And if we are to enter the realm of religion, scholars have already decided its Makhroo, because it is not explicitly mentioned in the Quran as being Haram, nor did the Holy Prophet (SAW) deem it so. So it considered harmful and its best to be avoided. However it is not haram.
