No, its ignorant when you go out to be something you are not, and that too, something that is not deemed professional or classy in the country you live in.
And I'm not saying this as a racism comment - even African Americans that are in top notch positions, and are successful do not look upon that sort of behavior positively. There is actually a group of African Americans at Harvard (I believe its harvard, maybe yale) that is hell bent upon introducing African American boys into practicing proper grooming.
Its sad when Pakistanis have to immitate that sort of behavior to be "cool"...shows how insecure they are. :)
