Mazaars

Women can not go to a cemetery when they are on their periods. Otherwise it is fine.

You got it straight my brother! :k:

only us(baboons in mountains) know the reality. ppl in cities have their sight hindered.

MashaAllah. You are very proud of yourself. I think you haven't heard the hadith that mentions Prophet Muhammad(SAW) will intercede for his Ummah and Quran will also intercede for us on the day of Judgement.

What sort of comment is this? You're the one who claimed your dreams coming true and stuff.

exactly true dreams are not sent by angles from heavens. An unholy person like my self have them.
thats all I am saying.

Ps: My own brother is walking that road, I feel very strongly about the issue. Pardon my comments plz. I am outta here.

I don't understand what true dreams have anything to do with mazaars or tawassul.

Next someone will say, dont go when you have eaten onions or something.

PM, Jaanwar, Hareem you people still don't see the pattern. These are the reasons I said those are just the beliefs that you collected from your environment and now have as our identity.

More people will come with more reasons to support both sides. You just can't see exactly where other person is coming from. what you have in your head makes perfect sense.

This is what a typical religious related discussion boils down to "I am right".

Alwaaaayyyyysss. so have some patience and respect for other's POV.

And as much as I want to stay out of these kind of discussions, I just to ask PM one thing before I quit at this thread, do you think we needed prophets (Messengers) from Allah if the direct connection you are talking about is so strong????

THIS THREAD SHOULD BE IN RELIGION FORUM BECAUSE THIS POST IS RELIGIOUSLY MOTIVATED.

that being said, It is irrelevant if it is allowed or not. Pakistan is a democracy and its vision as agreed by its founders was to allow anyone and everyone their rights. Especially religious ones. Pakistan wasn't created for certain type of sunnis. It was for all muslims...and anyone that wanted refuge in the sub continent.

Even if it is shirk according to your mullahs, you are powerless to do anything about it. Let the Sufis or whoever hangs out at those mazaars. As long as they are not zibahing people like the wahabis/taliban, they are ok.

if we didn;t have prophet how would we know allah ??

Re: Mazaars

^^ you missed the point why I asked that question. and that's actually good.

thanks for coming back to answer my question.

If u’re going to read Fatiha for them it’s alright.. but to ask them to help deliver u’re dua’s.. isn’t right.

Those people who reject the idea altogether quote the following hadith in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have said: ‘Allah has cursed women who often go and visit graves.’ Another hadith relates an incident in which the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked his daughter, Fatimah, why she had left her house. She is reported to have replied: ‘I went to the family of such-and-such a dead person and I prayed to Allah to shower His mercy on the person.’ The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is then reported to have asked whether she went to the funeral and she replied: ‘God forbid, how could I do such a thing when I have heard that you have forbidden this?’

However, those looking for evidence to show that women are allowed to visit graves quote some of the following ahadith: According to one tradition, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported – after acknowledging that he had earlier forbade women to visit cemeteries – to have said: ‘Now you are allowed to go and visit them, for they remind you of the life to come.’ In another hadith, reported by Muslim and Al-Bukhari, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported by Umm Atiyyah to have forbade women from following funeral prayers –‘… but Umm Atiyyah added, ‘he did not stress it.’

Re: Mazaars

Good job PM and Jaanwar - you guys are good.

Re: Mazaars

I dont understand how any Muslim could go to the grave of a dead person and ask them to intercede for them or help them in any way. That person is dead and no matter how pious we perceived them to be in their life, we have NO idea what is happening to them in their grave, whether they are being punished or not. Did they show us their ticket to Jannah before dying that we are so certain of their status before Allah?

Allah SWT tells us clearly in the Quran that He listens to the dua of everyone who calls on Him. He is closer to us than our jugular vien. He is Al-Mujeeb, He is without doubt the Best One to respond to all supplication. If we are certain in our yaqeen that Allah SWT is listening to our duas and that He is Most Generous, then we have no reason to call on anyone else because Allah would be enough for us!!!

If anyone visits the grave of a dead person, then they should pray for the forgiveness of that person, not ask that dead person to pray for them. They cannot even make dua for themselves from where they are now, how will they make dua for you! Its so sad to see the disturbing things people in Pakistan do at the graves of dead people.....how far they are from the true teachings of Islam...

two monkeys on lose can do major damage :snooty:

Also remmember there are distinctions when it comes to Prophets.........

Our Holy Prophet (PBUH) walked in the presence of Allah (SWT) with his shoes ON!

Where as Musa (ES).............was ordered to remove his shoes in Allah's(SWT) Presence...........?

can you explain that PM?

dude

lolzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

is there a place where allah is not present???

Thanks ladies!!!

Rest: :smack:

Re: Mazaars

to me going to these tombs, is a waste of your money, time and its a SHIRK.

poor ppl (low income ones) go to these tombs cuz their belief is "since its a grave of pious soul, so God will grant them forgiveness on behalf their piousness". they are poor, and they strongly belief that God hates poor ppl that is why they are facing all these miseries. No food, no clothing, no money, no aqal make them commit the gravest sin of all and that is SHIRK.
tehy believe that they bowing these already dead ppl, is connecting them to God.

whereas, wealthy autocrats have these figures as a gesture of status, and like attach their shajra-nasb with these sufis and saints. i hope we all know about these gaddi-nasheen politicians of ours.

After the downfall of Ummayad Dynasty new meanings of Islam emerges everywhere. Power and the transfer of throne was becoming a problem day by day. Instead of showcasing Islam and its teachings through actions, arts and architecture was being used to define Islam.

as a fine art student i adore Islamic art, but too much dependancy on it bring it to this chaos where we dont even know that our what action actually define us.

Islam spread out in the subcontinent by these Sufis and Saint. their marvel poetry, which was hard to interpret for masses, get these pious souls high ranks such as "God's Friend".

however, current scenario of these mazars is worse than ever. these day, if there are few blocks of bricks are around some tree, ignorant ppl call it "Saieen Baba ka ada!"

U get to see people tying threads in diff colors representing some "mannat" or the other.. people collecting the rose-petals.. and claiming it to have miracle healing properties.

The drug addicts are found there.. and people claim they're possessed souls.. Dawn news does great documentaries!
