Re: May 6, 2010 - World T20 - Pakistan v England

Thanks again to our great fielding training :k:

Re: May 6, 2010 - World T20 - Pakistan v England

Bad Selection
Terrible Fielding
Bad Batting
:aj:

Re: May 6, 2010 - World T20 - Pakistan v England

A totally pathetic display by our team in all departments, batting, fielding and bowling. The height of stupidity for me was when afridi on his very first ball played it straight to a fielder and ran for a non existent run and than got angry with Umar Akmal for running him out. Brainless captain of a brainless team.

well at least our women did better than these chakkas even though they lost to SL

Sri Lanka Women 108 (19.3/20 ov)

Pakistan Women 107 (20.0/20 ov)
Sri Lanka Women won by 1 run

Re: May 6, 2010 - World T20 - Pakistan v England

All those here who were so overawed by afridi and thought there is no one better than him for captaincy please take a bow. He is really making you proud.

Re: May 6, 2010 - World T20 - Pakistan v England

So ehsan uncle from just 3 matches u somes up Afridi's captaincy
what will the captain do when simple catches will be dropped like ajmal did

What will you do when your captain sticks to a plan like bowling Hafeez regardless of the fact that he was thrashed mercilessly by Australians and than not bowl Razzaq at all.

You can defend him all you like but the fact is that his captaincy sucks.

Re: May 6, 2010 - World T20 - Pakistan v England

it was our batsmen who failed ....n than our fielding ..............our bowler did a fair job

Re: May 6, 2010 - World T20 - Pakistan v England

^^ but every one seems to be jumiping in and out on Yousaf for not delivering in his very first test match...anyway afridi is our pride and when he is around we don't need trophy or any title

seriously, this was the case with Younis, Yousaf and Shoaib... so where the spark and aggressive attidute and desire to win??? where is the difference

Re: May 6, 2010 - World T20 - Pakistan v England

EB i thought you backed Afridi until he bit the ball? What do bad captaincy decisions now have to do with the integrity based concerns you had? so far as integrity goes that has been a great success in Afridi's captaincy. Not once did he even try to bite the ball..

afridi failed in batting and bowling. A captain leads by example and instils confidence, not run like a moron for a non existent single and get himself run out and than blame it on others.

A captain is one who is dynamic and changes his strategy according to the demands of the situation and not stick to a plan even if it blows right in his face.

Na sayeen don't say like that, Afridi is our pride and one of the greatest cricketer and captain of all time... i am sure he'll bounce back once he is playing against Zimbabwe, Kenya and Ireland

I wonder how long the current team will last against england and australia in the test matches.. assumping 80% team would be the same

I think if you check all my posts there was only a short period where I supported him. Biting the ball just brought home to me that he was not captain material and I changed my mind about him. His performance as captain in the last two matches proves my point.

Re: May 6, 2010 - World T20 - Pakistan v England

Last time Pak lost the 1st match in super eights too …still won the Cup

Lets Hope For the Best :jhanda:

We should analyse the root cause of this defeat.

AJMAL

No point in blaming bowlers or batsmen. Bowlers experiment with the ball and rely on batsmen's mistakes. Batsmen rely on bowlers to deliver bad balls. However when someone hands you a catch, you should just take it, and ask questions later.

If you drop one catch, you can hope things could still turn your team's way. You drop catch # 2, you really have to wish that lady luck will come to rescue you. You drop catch # 3, too late for lady luck. Its over right there. Time to pack your bags.

Inshallah. :jhanda:

i thought u wont support a team led by a brainless captain :stuck_out_tongue:

i think its a little unfair to make 'i told you so claims' on this basis. most of the staunchest Afridi captaincy support came relatively late (the 09 world cup is only 9 months old...), so its been a short period of Afridi support for pretty much everyone, you arent alone there.

i dont recall you having concerns on his competence on that thread, and seizing the opportunity now doesnt work. fact that he made bad decisions now doesnt validate any concerns expressed following the ball biting controversy, and no points have been proven at all.

on the other hand if at some point he does bite the ball and dance on the pitch I would be happy to concede the point to you.

it is Pakisttan which is supported despite the fact who leads it...
