They had brief and casual encounters in college and they both think this is love?? i don't know what is crazier, ibad wanting t propose to her or her being excited about it. lugta hai inteha ke turse hooe log hain. I feel like i missed 4-5 episodes in the middle. they should have at least shown that the two have started getting to know each other or smth.
This story line would have been believable if Haniya had never interacted with any men and Ibad had never interacted with any women. Farhat Ishtiaq is seriously out of touch with reality....

After today's episode I also have some serious issues with this drama and the way was written. They only show them meeting a couple of times and Ibad proposes? WTH?? Humsafar was written much, much better. I like the acting by Sarwat and Adeel is pretty good, but definitely have major issues with the way the love story is developed. There should have been at least 2 more episodes devoted to this. Very unimpressed with today's episode. Today's episode shows that Farhat Ishtiaq is a still a noviice.

I agree! i think humsafar's storyline was fairly simplistic so Farhat was able to manage it. This is more complicated as there are far more characters involved. she needs to go the Umera Ahmed route, i-e fully define a character's personality first and then create a storyline based on those. right now i feel like i don't understand ibad at all. he went from being a smart , sensitive mama's boy to an impressionable, impulsive and irrational guy. like honestly why would you invite a girl you BARELY know to your apartment, even if it were to propose. and the dialogues of her making him complete were so very misplaced :s if this had happened to me, i would've called the cops on him or smth...

And I cant believe he tried putting the whole thing back on Haniya for judging him when he invited her back to his apartment. Any normal girl would have her guard up and most would NEVER go to to their place. Ibad is an idiot and after that scene where he tried to make Haniya for trying to be safe and normal, he is definitely a clueless manipulative idiot.

Storyline and if makes sense etc. I think channels are busy cranking out serial after serial. I will continue to watch this serial and this will determine Farhat Ishtiaq's true storytelling abilities.....however it just be that she got very lucky with Humsafar.
So glad that Fawad khan is not playing this role. It would not have suited him IMO.

Funny thing is when they showed upcoming that haniya is upset… my mom said maybe he proposed to her that’s why shes upset and I said no way mom that’s too early…and guess what he WAS going to propose! How the heck did he fall in love so fast. How was haniya suppose to know what his intentions were - who invites someone to their apartment after the 2nd date?
Totally agree with Twinkle if he a mamas boy and so goody good how can he make such a HUGE decision without discussing it with his parents?

The daadi appears to be happier than Haniya and trusts Ibad soo much despite not knowing him properly. Seems unrealistic

I really enjoyed the first 3 episodes but yesterdays was just so stupid. How can they both fall in love. He wasn't shown as someone who brought girls home in pakistan so why would he do that in America especially since he is a mamas boy. Also Haniya was right in saying no to going with him and it makes sense she felt bad slighly but it still doesn't make sense how she become so hunky dory with him the minute he told her he was gonna propose to her. That just looked despo. And Ibad's character makes no sense know at all, obviously any girl with sense is not going to into your apartment with you if she has only met you properly like twice.

I agree that the whole thing seems way too fake, however, i have read it and it was written well. they have chopped off a lot of it to fit into just two episodes. Plus the sister's looks more like someone who was raised here...accent waghairah, i mean. Sarwat gillani has a fobby accent.

In the novel, it was handled better. It's not as if they suddenly fall in love. They show them interacting with each other and all that.
Also, why do they have to show like 3 episodes just to show that they are getting to know each other. I bet then everyone would have been calling it 'such a drag'.
About Ebaad, I think this is exactly the point. He is shown as someone who always does just what makes his parents happy, but now this is the first time he is doing something that he wants to do. And maybe, now that he is physically away from them that could explain why he is doing a lot of things without telling them.
