mata e jaan

Re: mata e jaan

i feel nothing between ibaad nd haniya :bummer:

Re: mata e jaan

this episode was really cute, but i've been forced to build the connections myself and make assumptions about how they came to "love" each other so much.

if they were gonna do whole lovey-dovey episodes, why couldn't they have shown us how it all happened. i mean what else happened in their story today, other than scenes of them staring at each other and being mesmerized?

Yameena-Adam are reallly good. I hope she gets him back good:D

Re: mata e jaan

I wanted to watch this drama but after listening to all the opinions and reviews i feel as if its another neeyat

Re: mata e jaan

neeyat was very disappointing, mata-e-jaan is better!

Re: mata e jaan

it's more Vasl than Neeyat if that helps.

Re: mata e jaan

How is vasl i havent watched it

Re: mata e jaan

vasl was a time pass the story was pathetic actually. mata e jaan story is good but they r not able to present it well.

i m feeling it might start getting interested by next week. the promo was interesting both yamina n adam's story and also ebad confronting his parents.
lets see.

Re: mata e jaan

Yes, next week's episode looks good. Lots of shouting and arguments.

Re: mata e jaan

I can't stand the scenes between Ibad and Haniya - they are so cheesy and it doesn't help that there is no chemistry between them. The scence where Haniya goes over and Ibad is in the kicthen and he just stares at her was so awkward and not natural at all. Forwarded trough them and only watched Yamina and Adams scenes.

Next episode should be interesting since he arrives home at his engagement which is beyond hilarious.

Re: mata e jaan

Watching today's episode. Yaar i love the cinematography of this drama. the camera angles and camera work is amazing. I also noticed some comments others had made about "shaky" camera work and wanted to clarify that it's a contemporary style of shooting. You'll notice similiar "shaky" style in Hollywood and american tv shows. Recently I saw the movie hunger games in the theater and the first 10-20 minutes of the movie were so "shaky", I almost had a migraine. It's an interesting way of presenting a story. anyways, I am enjoying the episode so far, daddy just dropped the bomb on ibad about his engagement.

Re: mata e jaan

Ready to give up on this drama --sooo boring and slow!!!!!!!!

Re: mata e jaan

^ Agreed. I have given up already. :(

Re: mata e jaan

where is the spolier thread?

Re: mata e jaan

me 2 since i have already read the noval so no point of watching it bc it always give me feeling as if something is missing.....

Re: mata e jaan

Mehreen Jabbar has lost the Midas touch! She has been making weird choices lately, what with the story of Neeyat and repeating the same actors and actresses in her dramas. Mata e Jaan is going down the same route as Neeyat. Not bothered with it at all! After Humsafar and Maat there is still nothing worth watching, Urghhh :(

Re: mata e jaan

I also started watching this drama .. after all it was shot in NYC.. where I live.. but its so boring. I don't think Adeel Hussain and Sarwat Gillani are casted right. Even Sanam Sayed and Junaid's couple is better than theirs. They majorly lack chemistry and the end result is boring and uncomfortable to watch .. romance being forced.

:rotfl:

Re: mata e jaan

finding it hard to believe this one is directed by mehreen :( such cliched scenarios, beyond ridiculous, the mother keeps telling the father to ask ibaad about his marzi, why is she not picking up the phone and doing so herself for heavens sake?! the kind of close knit relationship he is supposed to have with his parents does not make sense here, who does that in this day and age especially the kind of educated/liberal family he belongs to? he also proposes without a word to his parents, could have at least told his mother who he is supposed to be so close to! and the funniest of all, his parents planning a surprise engagement for him like its a cheesy birthday party or something! how is walking in on your own engagement after a 18 hr + journey from the US supposed to make anyone happy? even if they are into it, it would still be annoying as hell!

Re: mata e jaan

Thought I’d watch this week’s episode :halo:. Since dtbg didn’t air I was a bit bored lolz

^^ haha exactly I was just going to say. He has just flown from US to Pakistan which is a really long journey and he will be well tired. On top of that , his parents decide to have the engagement party on the day. Why couldn’t they wait a couple of days , it isn’t as if it was an emergency anyway. Just saying what if the flight was delayed or something.. makes the whole idea unrealistic. Also, I find it hard to believe his parents are meant to be liberal yet they don’t ask their son before arranging his marriage.
TBH the whole drama looks forced . I don’t know but it seems like a situation is created when it wasn’t necessary. BUT it does make me laugh :stuck_out_tongue:

Re: mata e jaan

sometimes scripts look good on paper but when put on the screen they just don't have the same effect. MeJ is a good example of that.
Other times scripts don't look good on paper and the result on screen is great. Humsafar being a good example here.

Both are written by the same writer, directed by well known directors, and coming from the same production house and technicians. It's amazing to see how bad casting can make or break a play.
