I'm liking Sarwat Gilani for the first time. Haniya looks cute, in a girl-next-door type of way. The straight hair suits her, and brings out her features, whereas before you could only focus on her curls. She's playing her part well, her facial expressions are very telling, her querky laugh is not forced and is natural.
Ebad - same formula as Ashar (I hate to compare) by Farhat Ishtiaq, the perfect son/boy qualities, with impulse problems. He disappears on Haniya on occasions, I mean doesn't that impact his education? Then taking Haniya home on the first dinner, and expecting her to just be okay with it? Cultural issues aside, but he's lived a rather sheltered life as a rich boy going to a great college in Karachi, to not pick up the fact that its weird to ask a girl to come to your apt on the first dinner. I think Adeel is trying, but his character isn't well written.
Sanam Saeed - so far really not much to write about, as we haven't seen that much of her. I really hope this side plot picks up in the next few episodes.
Farhat Ishtiaq - if you are reading this, please come up with innovative ideas??? First off, Ebad's baat pakki since his conception, and his seemingly educated and loving parents, just assuming that he'd be okay with it, is a formula that has been done to DEATH. Dear God. It's a sore reminder of movies/dramas since the 50s. Come up with something new. Also please kindly do research about a culture in which you intend to set your story, cuz the viewers are not stupid, but you certainly come off unpolished.

don't compare the two Muniya otherwise you would not like MeJ. I have found it to be OK so far.

disappointed! i had really high expectations from this one! Sarwat Gilani does not really fit into this role!
chemistry is lacking between Haniya and Ibad as well! :(
lets see how the story unfolds!

I always thought curly hair would give anybody an instant glamorous look. guess I was soooooooooo wrongg!!

This was the drama for which I was waiting so anxiously but it disappointed me

Not sure what it is, but this one is just not working for me. I can’t point a finger at one thing, seems like there are a lot of things going wrong for this drama. Or maybe we just have high expectations now after watching the likes of Humsafar/Daam, heck even Maat. But this is just too slow and boring. I just fast-forward through the whole thing to get to see the end.

I am enjoying the Yamina and Adam Storyline. Glad they added that in! Only Ibad and Haniya would have been too filmy and boring

^ I agree, I think their storyline still has some substance and its interesting to watch. But Haniya and Ibaad are just too boring and cliched. I do hope it changes in the future episodes though, but let's see.

I totally agree that although all the things are in proper places but something is missing…maybe the intense-ness of the feelings one experiences between haniya and ibad while reading the novel are not portrayed properly…maybe the chemistry is not working…maybe it will come eventually…lets see

In episode 5, towards the end, why didn't Yamina use the peephole before she opened the door for Adam?

junaid nd sanam were awesome in this episode, him beating her... gave me a mini heart attack right there :(

Yes I quite enjoyed this episode too! Maybe because it concentrated a bit more on Yamina and Adam's storyline. The scenes between them seemed a lot more natural compared to Haniya and Ibad's scenes. The scene with Qavi Khan was just random and a bit pointless really! Loved Sanam Saeed's acting and the Adam guy isn't too bad either.

Haniya is doing okay but Ebad’s dialogues seem too forced…its like he is reading them off paper without much expessions…I know I said somewhere earlier that being a pakistani drama they should be communicating in urdu but in today’s episode Ebad leave a note for Haniya in urdu lol?.. We all having been dissing Farhat Ishtiaq for weak script but Mehreen Jabbar doesnt seem to be using her brains much either here
