Married people, was your first love, really a love?

Re: Married people, was your first love, really a love?

Some people can’t move on, tho can they.. It’s also possible to die of a ‘broken heart.’ It can happen with humans and animals.. Surely that intensity of love is true love..

Also, would you say the same about the love you have for your parents or family, can that be easily replaced if you have a new mother or father figure and if not why?

Re: Married people, was your first love, really a love?

I'm not saying there is no such thing as pure or true love. I am saying that humans have the ability to find pure or true love again if they were heart broken the first time or if they move on for whatever reason.

I agree with CDG. True love is just a perception. Only very late in your life, by looking back into your past, one can do comparative analysis of which love of his/her was a true love.

Re: Married people, was your first love, really a love?

Personally, I think love comes in different shapes and forms and intensities. What is the definition of true love? I think every love is true. First you gotta figure out if it is love.

Re: Married people, was your first love, really a love?

I cannot understand the concept of "madly in love" or "true love". I think every nice feeling that you get in your teenage years is is pretty much different degrees of infatuations or ........... lust.

I am married and I think i love my husband. I like him. I can't think of living without him and I like to do things that he likes. He care about me and I feel a spark in our relationship. I am satisfied with my life and happy. I suppose it is love. how can you tell.

Re: Married people, was your first love, really a love?

Even when you find true love in your first love, sometimes things happen, rather life happens and things dont stay that rosy anymore. I have seen some couples who have been married for years and seem 'in love' but it does take lots of hard word and effort to keep love and spark alive.
Love is a relative term IMO...
