im thinking about ambreen, lubna or jawaad for my wedding.
i still have to see ambreens work tho, havent seen it yet, but just herd a lot of good things about her here on this forum

have researched a lot on mehndi artist riffat, kiran etc but cudnt seem to feel satisfied. :S

hey reality check! i've booked kiran what was wrong with her as i booked her on the phone after seeing website she not good? I was looking at jawwad but i went to a wedding last year in august and he did the bride and she looked like jordan! so it put me off totally, I've booked with lubna now but i havent had a trial have you? , cuase i couldnt get abmreen or dil matharu and i was afraid i'll lose the date!
uff whys it soo hard! these trials are so expensive £85!>????

I just didn't fall in love with her or riffats work thats it basically :)
yea jawaad is not on the top of my list, lubna is and another makeup artist.
i haven't had the chance to do trial yet, as i am assuming my wedding clothes should be ready first ?

yer i have my sample from my desginer magar i want to see it fully also but i was afraid to lose my mua, £85 for trials i know wedding are so expensive as it is! I mean i dont mind paying but i want a good job! for me my makeups so important, i'll see my pictures for the rest of my life! i'm sooooooooo gutted i could not get dil matharu or ambren lets hope for the best! !! who have you booked with then?

If ur getting ur Mehndi done in London, I would strongly recommend Shagufta (pm me for more details) she charged me £120 which is very reasonable compared to the prices of ash khumar and joshiv. below is a picture of my mehndi her Mehndi come out extremely dark. will try to find some more pictures

Hey everyone,
I'm having an engagement ceremony in Sheffield in a couple of months and was wondering if anyone could reccommend a reasonable makeup/hair artist as well as mehndi.
£80 for a trial sounds absurd!
I do want quality though..any thoughts/suggestion would be really helpful, thank you.

If any1 is looking for a makeup artist in Scotland Kanwal and Sadia r good. I know Kanwal travels all over the uk.. Ive heard of upto £50 for a trail but £80 seems a bit much

Rubywoo, how did u get to see real brides of dil matharu? they're not on his website!
you asked about UzmaBeauty, she did my make up at my sisters wedding and she was really professional, the photographer said her make up was really suitable for photo taking, she's reasonable too.
She would be doing my bridal but there was a bit of a mix up and she ended up booking another bride same day so I decided to look elsewhere.

You can ask UzmaBeauty whether she can recommend an MUA and hairstylist as good as herself f she can't do your makeup. Maybe she'll have some names.

young bride, i know i've been to a few weddings where i have been in aww with the brides makeup he does do the eyes really well of what I remember. i've never heard of uzma before is she new> ? i went with lubna in the end dil was not free for my barat or walima, have you been to see him?

but shazia khan is amazing! (she has a website)
shes done both of my sisters wedding and walima make up and left everyone stunned!

hey yea i had to go with Lubna, i've just booked her but i've heard good things, she does pakistani style which fits my style of outfit, I've got my trial booked but i'm just waiting for my jora to come thorugh, who did you go with in the end?

I havent booked yet, the make up artist i want is not replying to me :(
so i am strongly thinking about going to Lubna as well, coz she was number 2 on my priority list :)

hey, my jora I ordered from gulstyle for barat and chiffions for walima, what artist are you waiting on? I thought I would be ok with my favorite two artists, but when i called Dil matharu hes was booked, so i thought oh ok i'll try ambreen, but she was booked! too then i just could not take another chance and had to go with lubna, how about u where did you get your jora from?
Rubywoo, yes i met dil, had a trial, he was very good and he has since emailed me a couple times and been very accomodating to my needs, such a shame he was booked for you, August is a busy time.
I bet your outfits are lovely, i got mine from Seasons, I got fabric for mehndi outfit form Gulstyle, they have really nice stuff.
I think your best off with Lubna Rafiq as you said you want traditional so she'll be really good for that, I've been to a wedding where she did make up and it was really nice (natural) and my freind trained with her and so ive heard good things about her.
