Salam Everyone!

How is everyone doing, hope that everyone's weekend is going good, so have you guys found any makeup artists for yourself or did you went for any trials. I am still waiting for my trial so lets hope that this will be the first and last trial of mine and hope that i will be booked for makeup. All my other preps are almost done so no other headaches. How about you guys????? Dont know where is Classy Gal and MehwishM, they must be busy in their own preps. Good Luck to everyone in their preps. :D

Hi ladies,

I'm just catching up.. kinda let the MAU search fall to the side. It's so hard trying to figure out who to book from NY. I don't know if I'm even gonna be able to go in for a makeup trial before the Walima. Do you think you all could post pics up of your trials so that I feel more comfortable booking someone without a trial myself? Or just email them too me? ([EMAIL="[email protected]"][email protected]). I would be ever grateful :)

Does anyone know of any nice halls? Again, I've never been to a wedding in the States before, let alone Chicago! (except for my bro's wedding at Tahoora on Devon---uff it was bad, lol)

And let's say we get a ghoray logon ka hall, what about the food? Do we hire caterers from Paki restaurants? Do the people from the Paki restaurants make the food in the hall of the kitchen?

HOw is everyone doing, uffffff its raining every single day here in chicago and i am sick and tired of this weather. Hmmmm druggiest check crystal palace and Ashayana or waterford, All of them are really good. Check them out, see if you like them.

Have you heard anything about White Eagle, Chateau Ritz, or the Holiday Inn in Skokie?

Mostly I am concerned with the food set up, since of course it's gotta be desi food. How does that affect the pricing of the hall, and where do the desi caterers cook the food?? Ashyana sounds desi though lol. Maybe that one would work :-)

Hmmm white eagle is very good too, we have done our first anniversary there, i think their catering comes from sabri if i am not wrong but check again with them. i dont know anything about Chateau Ritz, never heard of it. Holiday Inn in Skokie, yes i have went at this place for my twins birthday but we want it a big place for sunday and they had kinda small place since they were booked for those place. At this place you can cater from outside like usmania sabri anyone. Ashayana is good too. Check out this place crystal palace because an arab guy is owning this place and he just opened this place plus his price is really good for the hall and you can cater your desi food from outside too. I really like his place since it was new and totally unique and different. Hope this will help you.

hello.. im back.. sorry had bronchitis :( druggist, there is a place called Astoria banquets.. the lady's name is Lora and is extremely sweet! It's in Buffalo Grove.. id highly recommend it.. also, i wouldnt ever recommend monty's to anyone.. its a beautiful place but the management (desi) is VERYYY hard to work with.. they're not very professional and ive heard nothing but bad stuff about the owners....if you care more about getting a cheap place and not good service, then consider it, otherwise i wouldnt!!

kiran, sorry i fell off the face of the Earth lol i never had a trial with kaaya cuz she was already booked on the day of my events...

i just have a few things left to do for this wedding.. just 3 more months to go! Aaahhh!!
