Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

No wonder he got 95% of the votes cast in the assemblies. Now he is as popular as Mubarik, Saddam and Assad. Long live Musharraf. :jhanda:

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

Of course when everyone pro-Musharraf raises the retarded question "who is the alternative" out of "Mushy, BB, NS" then what else do you expect as an answer?

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

Those ratings roughly correlate to the 55% majority he won in the Electoral College in the Presidential Election. Who said our parliamentarians were not representative of the people’s opinions?

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

Well Assemblies are different

Its like the Republican Controlled Sentate voting for Bush in 2004 and he probably would have gotten 70% of the vote even though only 45% of the country voted for Bush

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

People of Pakistan never voted for Mushrraf. His corrupt lotas did…the once who were in NAB’s custody for corruption, put in jail by Mushrraf himself, and then pardoned by him so they can support him. He never won anything let alone election…he is there by force and not b/c of will of the people.

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

Sorry, but senate can never vote for the US president, only house of representatives.

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

Indeed. God Bless Bless President Musharaf.

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

Long live Musharraf and long live ‘democracy’ previously envisioned by jokers such as Gaddafi, Saddam and Mubarak:jhanda:long live ‘enlightened moderation’

Aalsi you sometimes make me laugh with your juvenile responses (alhamdulillah, mashallah etc.) in every post

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

At least he has proved him to be a crooked politican. In March and May, everyone was expecting that he would not be there after July. He is still there.

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

Gaddafi, Saddam and Mubarak are all dictators

Musharraf is not

I consider him a popular unelected leader than a dictator

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

Absolutely.

Free media.
Free judiciary.
Free (unresticted) access to mobile and internet technologies enjoyed by tens of millions.
Freely operating political parties.
Foreign investment flooding into Pakistan.
Growing middle class of 35 million.

What true dictatorship allows all that?

But thanks to Musharraf’s policies over the last 8 years we have all that and much more. :jhanda:

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

Seems like you caught Alsism disease, making useless posts ranting of same post in different threads, if you are disillusioned by “repeat it 1000 times and it will become truth” it won’t work on people who can see light.

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

Musharraf is still better than that oxford educated slapnut..or the mentally retarded bald baboon!!!

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

Yep, and the majority of Pakistan people agree with that as well.

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

I will take any poll by a US organization on this issue with a pinch of salt.

But Musharraf is certainly better than any politician in our recent past. May God help him make Pakistan stronger.
Amen.

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

Why unelected? He got elected by people in ‘year 2002’ referendum. He got elected twice by elected representatives of people (Pakistan Parliament), once in ‘Oct 2002’ and again in ‘Oct 2007’, where he got more than 50 percent of the possible votes. Whenever he makes public speeches, millions hear him.

As for some making baseless allegations that referendum was rigged, or that elections of 2002 were rigged, Presidential election of 2007 was illegal, than such allegations and claims are not uncommon in Pakistan from losers. It is Pakistani mentality to say ‘grape is sour’ rather accept defeats.

Fact is that, Pakistani population is mature and when rigging do happen (as in 1977), they come out on roads in numbers. Else only Jiyalas, Jamtias, Jahadias, and similar Kabarias with brainless mind and Zombie attitudes come out on road. That is what opposition is facing today, that other than Zombies no one wants to support them. How unfortunate for them Zombies :D

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

This is just too funny... F&B should post the John stewart quote about Mush's 99.9997% result again!

Re: Majority of Pakistanis term Musharraf an ideal leader.

Absolutely true. :k:
