I read somewhere that ‘jab aurat maachis se teeli nikal kar jalati hai to teeli ka rukh uski apni taraf hota hai… aur jab mard teeli jalata hai to uss ke rukh doosron ki janib hota hai’.
Is this observation true?
There was a philosophy behind this attitude mentioned in that book, which I will share later. Lets share how do you see this different attitude by different genders? Is it something that is affected by cultural background of the genders or its a universal attitude.

Could this be a cosmetic attitude? Sort of like the conventional way to check your finger nails. For women, they stretch their hand straight withe the nail side up, whereas men stretch their hands palm side up and then curl their fingers towards them to reveal the nails.

yes, mostly true as i have myself observed that. it tells a lot about a woman’s character…does it? i think so.
aurat Khud ko qurbaan kar detii hai jab k mard Khud ko bachaa kar duusroN kii qurbaanii de detaa hai. 
i’ve also noticed a difference between man and woman as to how they write. women’s handwriting is quite distinct.

Is this a quote about self destruction or sacrifice?
While I would prefer to have a fire extinguisher if I play with fire If i think about all the people in my life I do believe women would take the larger part of the sacrifice. There’s also a scary stat on the Internet that it’s 6 times likely that a man would leave an ill wife than a wife would leave a sick husband. Does that prove gender roles are instinctive or just exposing a problem of society.

one more thing:
women are more cautious by nature so by stroking the match towards them gives an added protection from getting burnt by the flame…if it gets closer to her fingers, she can easily blow it out as the match stick is closer to her mouth.
men on the other hand are more rash in their behaviour [rather less careful]. he strokes the match away from himself giving him less time to blow it out if the flames touch his fingers.

I would strike the stick away thinking that that is safer rather than striking it inward which I feel would have more chance of touching my palm.

There was this famous PTV actress in 1980s Tahira Naqvi (Late). She had interpreted this in similar way. In her words, ‘Aurat khud ko jalati hai aur mard dooson ko jalata hai’.

Contact Syed Noor to remake ‘Dpatta Jal Raha hai’. Yesterday, I got a text msg during taraveh. After namaz, when I checked, it was from a friend saying ‘Filmazia pe Dupaata Jal raha hai aa rahi hai’ :smack: We watched that movie together in cinema, just for that ‘Ho sake to mera ik kaam karo’ song :bummer:

First half was okay. The next was simply pathetic, when Nadeem started cooking human Haleem to take revenge from Resham’s sasural. Disgusting execution. I was surprised, how censor passed such disgusting scenes.

My dad taught be to light a match by moving it towards outside, as it is foolish to move it inward as it can light your own clothes by doing so

There was also a criteria to recognise a male or female by the way they enter and exist from a room, etc. It was mentioned in some fairy tales.
The males put right foot while entering the room and while leaving they first place left foot outside. Ladies do it otherwise.
