Lux Style Awards need to be fair..and I think it's high-time Freiha Altaf leaves.. and lets the newer generation work their magic! WE DO have fantastic image consultants, choreographers...
Argh it's sad to see the same performers performing everytime.. be it an Eid Show, Jashn Azadi Show, MTV awards..and the LSA's!

fed up of seeing atif and jal. we have more talented people who should be promoted.
frieha thinks she's bo derek of pakistan ;the self-proclaimed pioneer of fashion shows . Her claim to fame are some bit parts in forgettable tele dramas.wonder how she got into fashion industry. her dressing was always hideous.anybody remenber her as the wannabee actress in rozie...LOL
I know it's the same songs over and over again! Our Lollywood doesn't come out with anything at all..so all that we have to fall back on is our Pop music industry! Even the performances are predictable... I know what Ali Azmat's going to sing and do on stage...Ali Zafar etc!
Freiha Altaf was actually a model..waaaayyy back in her days and trust me she wasn't the slightest bit pretty then either! For an aunty her age her dress sense is horrendous!
There are so many graduates from NCA and Indus Valley, but they can't climb the ladder cuz of the complete monopoly by her and her "camp" Tapu, Nabila, Tariq! I don't even understand why all our models just HAVE to wear gowns and dresses for the LSA's?! They speak in English, wear gowns and dresses and all things ugly.. how can they be categorized as "Pakistani Awards"?

I know she's an old hag.I think she used to work for herald magazine and according to her she was the most outspken and talented woman in pakistan thats why she got a chance to wirte for them. yeah right! talk about being delusional.
funny thing is when frieha compares LSA's with the oscars . oscars are like so formal , classy and so proud-to-be-american. plus they have some credibility.
LSA have no class because they don't represent popular choice and they have no relation with the culture of the country they're taking place in .
If I didn't know frieha and her gay band(tapu, tariq and all) I would think some pakistan born confused desis are having a private party !

I feel bad for all those talented artists we have in pakistan who never get a chance to showcase their skills. and we have plenty of such people in our country. poor folks have to go to india to prove themselves because our own people don't value them. If you' don't have a relative in this field or you're not rich enough then forget about it. it's nepotictic and monoplized by a certain class.

If anything these awards are a great chance to see Meera grappling with the English language...to which comedy ensues! Reema is only slightly better!!! Speak your own language dimwits!!!!
On another note, i hear veena malik being mentioned. Is this the same Veena malik who has done photo shoots naked, nipples hanging out and everything? What is she trying to prove...? that we are so modern!!! That woman needs a kick in the neck!!!!

You are soo right! Seriously think for instance about the folk singers and artists who are really TRUE artists. Somehow they aren't taken seriously at all but usually they go abroad to participate in cultural shows and always impress the "foreign" crowd - Pakistan is so rich in culture and heritage but you have all of these so-called artists copying western rock-bands....that's a shame in my opinion. The LSA is just another example of that

And since we don't encourage performing arts in our society(how many parents allow their children to become actors/singers?) and look down upon artists , these people have no option but to go to neighboring countries for encouragement.

There's nothing "Pakistani" about them anymore.. it's all a fashion parade of the worst dressed people! Why is the film fraternity included in the "style" awards..same goes for the music fraternity?

I know what you mean..i so know what you mean and its sad! our pop music is good getting recognition good but those folk singers/musicians are just great! i feel so sad to see those people singing such great songs without any great instruments, voice modulations etc and doing such a great job but none of them get what they deserve from their own people. when indians come and take them and give them their due recognition only then i see people fighting in forums kay yeh toh hamara bunda hai. I have a cd which has nusrat fateh/abida parveen and other folk songs in it and all my gora friends asked me to make copies for them when i was in london while some village kay log who come here were like how can you listen to folk songs its such a big besti...but since i didn't bother about their opinions the other day the person called me and told me to send her those songs..they people don't listen to the songs, they don't know anything about it they only like it when a song is liked by someone they are impressed from likes it :s*
Oh god i hate tooba siddique…she talks nonsence.and she is cheap.i read her interview in which she was showing too much attitude like she is an hollywood oscar winner.well atif do wear these kind of funky bunky chunky clothes.he wears himself.btw he is Unique.i dont have any issues with his dressing:p
And heY!! can anyone tell me has it been aired??..i read an article in JUNG about it.and YEahhhhHHH jal won 3 awards…thats great for them…atleast they will feel proud and now they wont be that much Larakooo with Atif.I saw THem on Bushra ansari show and they were talking about atif and thier controversy and they said that THis album( Bondh ) has given sooo Much success that we dont care about it anymore.:biggthumb
