freiha altaf wrote some 'review' of some indian awards that she attended a while ago and all she could do was talk about her designer outfit/earrings and criticize bollywood and the actors/actresses. i hope someone was able to tell her that she and her so called 'elite' awards are not even comparable to what bollywood does. it's a poor imitation of bollywood/hollywood where lack of good style, clothes, dance, presentation is obvious. the only people somewhat commendable in these ceremonies are the singers who can entertain people.. otherwise everything else is boring and a major letdown. not to mention, the same camps get the awards, and the same people show up on stage to give the same old speech.. yawn

LSA is an excuse for some celebs to show off their designer wear. I see a disconnect between these awards and the reality of Pakistan. More than half of our population doesn't even know who these people are. they don't represent people's choice at all.
and why don't our celebs promote their own culture for a change. I too love certain aspects of western culture and one of them is taking pride in what you're.I love it how american and british people are proud of themselves. But looking at this LSA crowd, it seems they're all gora wannabees. ab veena malik angelina jolie kyon ban rahi hai ?she can never be like her. similarly aammar bilal brad pitt ko kyun copy karta hai? they all look like a confused bunch of desis. I don't identify with them at all. I believe in 'When in Rome do as the romans do'.

^i don't think anyone identifies with them. yay for designer wear but atleast wear what looks good on you... not out of place and trashy. most of them cannot even carry the outfits well with the exception of a few models here and there. ammar belal appears to be a total cartoon and so do the other bunch of men (jal, atif, etc etc) who find halloween outfits from god knows where to wear to this award show.

hehe! i don't think any normal guy anywhere in the world wears lipstick. he's not a bad looking guy but all his weird fascinations with fashion makes him look odd.
