Personally i don't know why you guys would wanna take such a risk for dish. Desi channels are anything but great and if its cricket you want to watch than i think people broadcast it over the internet for a minimal fee. Just wait till the "proper" fix for the problem comes. No use wasting 70 bucks or something.

All you thick headed americans need to understand something, a bunch of canadians getting a free dish signal does not affect your subscription prices. So stop crying, just because you were too stupid to figure out how to get the channels without paying, doesn't mean you have to come and cry in this thread.

Nah, most of the Canadians got it done through dealers, especially the desis, and most of the Americans did it by themselves, maybe because dealers werent nabbed in Canada.
So lets end this futile discussion and all you desis, stop crying and accept the truth (ITS OVER FOR NOW, ATLEAST), those in the US should definitely subscribe to the desi channels now and support them, and those in Canada should wait for Bell or any other network to start them.

Yes, most canadians did get it done by dealers, but they barely paid anything compared to what it would have cost if you had to pay per view :D. Anyways I agree with you, and yes everyone who can get Pakistani channels should subscribe to them, even if there is a fix. I think everyone should pay for the Pakistani channels and test the rest :D.

^ I would subscribe if they were $5 a pop or less. First of all I couldn’t care less about those sub-standard Pakistani channels but who want to pay $20 plus each for those crappy channels anyway? Only an idiot could do that. Same channels are shown in other countries for the fraction of that price. You guys should be boycotting Dish network for expensive desi channels and cricket. Instead of that some of you pay freaking $80 a month to encourage them to continue their monopoly. Long Live FTA and death to DN monopoly.

They charge those prices for all the international channels. If we boycott, they’ll just drop the channels and pick up some Hungarian ones.
Besides, the channels get to make some extra money anyway, which they deserve.
And you can’t compare with rates in other countries, since their incomes are also different!
Besides, you Canadians make jack shyte in income - so your rates probably wont be as high as the US rate anyway.
