Re: Living in USA
USA is responsible for a lot worse than a movie. The protests were not just about the movie, that was merely a trigger.
I was thinking exactly the same.

Re: Living in USA
Since it's not allowed in The U.S.A. to say that the Holocaust did not happen a law must be passed criminalizing acts of disrespect toward Islam and other religions . Double standards are no good .
Muslims had the right to hold protests but not to the extent of burning consulates/embassies , regardless of whether Al-qa'idah had a hand in what happaned on 11/09/2012 in Libya or not .
I think if **Muslim governments **took some official action the protests from **people **wouldn't have gone this far .
I lived in England for few years and I can say it's safe for a Muslim person , but not in every place/ with every person I guess 'cause my brother was once attacked ( and he defended himself ) . Canada is also safe I think , or at least in some of its areas since it's a very big country . I have no idea if The U.S.A. is safer than these two or not but there's an area/place that was shown on Tyra's show which I didn't like, no one was attacked but it was an attitude thing (unless it was a misunderstanding or a made up thing for T.V.) .
Re: Living in USA
No matter how much you hate US it is still a land of free and hard working men.
There has to be a reason why all the harassed minorities from all over the world (including muslims) want to migrate to US.
Re: Living in USA
I don't understand why everyone is after the US to officially apologize for the movie. The US had nothing to do with the movie!! Yes there is a Constitutional right to freedom of speech and some ignorant imbecile decided to exercise that right for the sole purpose of propagating hatred amongst the Muslims.
Where are all the Arab leaders? Where are all the Muslim presidents and prime ministers? Or are they too busy taking handouts from the US? We are the ones to be blamed for the position we have been placed in. The world laughs at us because of the way we have behaved! 1.2 billion of us yet there is no unity or discipline amongst us. All we do is fight and kill our own kind.
The U.S.A. needs to restrict the freedom of disrepect .
In The U.S.A. it's not allowed to say that the Halocaust did not happen , some might consider this to be a loss of** freedom of speech **.
And yes the Muslim leaders need to take some official action instead of leaving it like that .

Yea sure so that they can make such hateful movies. Not even hateful that is. I wonder why no one in even India or anywhere else, for that matter, let it happen. The producer is an american citizen. Youtube is US based. But USA is just so innocent. The land of the free of course.
Whatever defenses against US govt/policies are made are just so lame. Why do we have to write novel long posts to tell you people how innocent us is. Everyone knows that from Japan to Afghanistan.

It is a land of mentally shackled men ... and when you live there it makes you even more shackled and fearful of its might, and loving of its glory. (The concept of taqwa that we have in Islam for Allah (SWT) - is displaced toward America).
It systematically makes people believe they are free - through media and education - it is a programmed term deep in to the mind of the average American.
People travel there to seek a bit of wealth - a bit of comfort, but usually at the price of losing their freedom to think ... critically.
Re: Living in USA
Holocaust denial is a crime in US but most hate crimes are committed against Jews, surprisingly.
Re: Living in USA
Everything and anywhere is all fine and shine until you open your mouth and openly condemn against the governement's/state's wrong actions.
As long as your lips are sealed and your eyes are shut, the world is a warm and friendly place.
Re: Living in USA
People who read my blog know how outraged I was on the "response" that Muslims showed on this movie all around the world. Of course USA has nothing to do with the movie except for the fact that person who made it from US and site that hosted it is US based too but US govt can not be held responsible for it and hence anger and destruction towards US embassy/personals just because of this matter is not justified.
BUT, any thought that it all happened just because of movie would be naive. U know emotions of people keep on simmering on an incident here, and an incident there and there always is one tipping point. Some time, just one incident boils it out of the pot. Having said all that, people who reacted (and are reacting) in violent manner are plain STUPID and murderers and nothing else. They are not "aishaqaan-e-rasool".
btw, I am more disgusted towards the countries who have "punish the holocaust deniers" laws in their country but they call these acts "free speech" (mostly European countries). Its about time we define boundaries of "free speech" globally. Either ban it or leave it all. You can not have one laws of free-speech when its against Judaism , blacks etc and other laws when its against Islam.
Re: Living in USA
Wrong. Holocaust denial is illegal in some European countries, not in the US.
Re: Living in USA
doesn’t mean you can’t get charged in US.
The European Union’s executive Commission proposed a European Union-wide anti-racism xenophobia law in 2001, which included the criminalization of Holocaust denial. On July 15, 1996, the Council of the European Union adopted the Joint action/96/443/JHA concerning action to combat racism and xenophobia.[SUP][47]](Legality of Holocaust denial - Wikipedia)[/SUP][SUP][48]](Legality of Holocaust denial - Wikipedia)[/SUP] During the German presidency there was an attempt to extend this ban.[SUP][49]](Legality of Holocaust denial - Wikipedia)[/SUP] Full implementation was blocked by the United Kingdom and the Nordic countries because of the need to balance the restrictions on voicing racist opinions against the freedom of expression.[SUP][50]](Legality of Holocaust denial - Wikipedia)[/SUP] As a result a compromise has been reached within the EU and while the EU has not prohibited Holocaust denial outright, a maximum term of three years in jail is optionally available to all member nations for “denying or grossly trivialising crimes of genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes.”[SUP][51]](Legality of Holocaust denial - Wikipedia)[/SUP][SUP][52]](Legality of Holocaust denial - Wikipedia)[/SUP]
The EU extradition policy regarding Holocaust denial was tested in the UK during the 2008 failed extradition case brought against the suspected Holocaust denier Frederick Toben[SUP][53]](Legality of Holocaust denial - Wikipedia)[/SUP] by the German government. As there is no specific crime of Holocaust denial in the UK, the German government had applied for Toben’s extradition for racial and xenophobic crimes. Toben’s extradition was refused by the Westminster Magistrates’ Court, and the German government withdrew its appeal to the High Court.
Re: Living in USA
No, you cannot get charged in the US just for holocaust denial.
The verbiage that you have posted does not mention US, so I am not sure what your point was.
Re: Living in USA
Holocaust Deniers and Public Misinformation
In the United States, where the First Amendment to the Constitution ensures freedom of speech, it is not against the law to deny the Holocaust or to propagate Nazi and antisemitic hate speech.
Re: Living in USA

Well then it should be illegal in US too.
Re: Living in USA
Thats a separate issue.
Your point about US discriminating between hate speech directed against Jews vs. Muslims is incorrect.
A lot of negative feelings against the US are based on such misinformation spread by people who claim to know it all.

Re: Living in USA
Actually, I did not bother to give viewership to this movie. Why would I let them add one more view for the movie and brag about it?
I am of a faith where I believe that What and How Allah (SWT) has praised Prophet (SAW), such despicable movies and cartoons can never decrease that rank of Prophet (SAW).
But my raising of voice against it is simply based on the exact thoughts that are in BOLD RED above.
Aceone has put it right on the money :k:
