His political career started thanks to late President General Zia-ul-Haq. He owes his growth, his place in politics and in power to a military-led government.*

He came into politics in 1985 along with Nawaz Sharif.*

As true democrats, both were handpicked by the military government at the time because they were young Pakistanis and new faces. Gen. Zia was very progressive in this regard. He saw how Pakistani political parties failed to allow young Pakistanis to come to the top, so he ensured that the 1985 elections packed a maximum number of young faces. Chaudhry Nisar was also among them.*

Zia, could have predicted that these new young faces will go on to amass wealth and monopolize Pakistani politics for the next 29 years.* This ‘Gang of 1985’ has seized control of Punjab, the province with the most seats in the federal parliament. So, Javed Hashmi is a non-issue. Move on to real issues.*

It is amazing how all of us including myself are victims of our own bubble of personalities worship…
for example PTI has now suddenly become the biggest champion of respecting army because it suits them for political needs…PTIans are abusing and calling names to anyone who is asking any question about the army role in current crisis…why? because it suits PTI to take this stand
i said it multiple times in this thread that general sharif is a thorough solider with a solid army background…and has no intentions to impose martial law
but we all know the role ISI and other army agencies have played in our politics in the past…is this a top secret? didnt they give millions to nawaz sharif in 1990 to form IJI to corner PPP? didnt they play a role in 1993 and 1996 change of govts? dont we know that agencies have been taping phone calls of every journalist? i mean we all know this
and didnt great Khan sahib accuse raheel sharif to take BMW just few weeks ago upon which army had to deny it…was that a very respectful gesture towards army? and now the same PTI has become champion of army’s izzat.

When Akbar Bugti challenged the state from a cave in Baluchistan.. We were prompt enough to bomb his cave. When the clown duo attacked the state in Islamabad yesterday.. 36 geniuses deliberated for 2 1/2 hours to determine "public aspirations".
While the state has become totally dysfunctional.. Parliament, cabinet division, fbr, supreme court, PM can not function due to this recent occupation of our capital..
