Ehsan bhai, misstumping chance was against Bravo not Lara and that half chance to Imran Farhat was quarter a chance in comparison to what we did against Sehwag when he was dropped with three straight forward chances.

When Lara is in full flow no one can come close.

If Younis was standing there Lara would have been back in the pavilion. It was an easy chance. Lara was also missed by Akmal.

Nescio: Dravid is never half as exciting as Lara can be. Sachin is closer than him but still miles behind when it comes to pure domination of any sort of bowling consistently with big hundreds.

I agree with you. The only thing about Dravid is that compared to other players -like Hayden and co., not compared to Lara and Sachin- he is still more worth watching: his level of skill and technique is rarely seen.

Yep…he is yet to do it.

But I agree that Lara is one of the most exciting player to watch. But my problem is that since I rarely watch non-India matches I didnot realy get to see lots of Lara thanks to his poor showing against India. I am glad I didnot get to wacth it.

But whatever I have seen of Lara, I would also pick Lara ahead of Sachin when it comes to flair and style.

It was a good inng by Lara but no where near what he has done in past against great bowlers of South Africa, Australia and Pakistan. Umer Gul and Shahid Nazir are nothing in front of him. It would have been a great sight if Asif and Akhtar were present, we would have witnessed an amazing contest.

It was a good inng by Lara but no where near what he has done in past against great bowlers of South Africa, Australia and Pakistan. Umer Gul and Shahid Nazir are nothing in front of him. It would have been a great sight if Asif and Akhtar were present, we would have witnessed an amazing contest.

I personally think with a good fielding side, on such a pitch one should convert half chances into wickets especially when it comes to geniuse like Lara. And if that was the case Lara might have gone very early in the innings when his miscue hook falled feets away from Nazir, and then another hook dropped in between Yousaf and Nazir, Nazir should have ran faster to get it, as it was in front of him and YOusaf was running back.

Scoring 100 or not is a different story, but Lara technique, skills, temperament, shots, foot work, timing and character is unique, No one as far as I know, could match him. Tendulkar, Dravid, Inzi and Ponting may have some of the above but not all. I will consider Tendulkar somewhat close to Lara, but none of the others.

Ehsan bhai has been to too many dinner parties with Indian hosts recently! Lara is in a different class altogether when compared with Tendulkar. Tendulkar has been a choker throughout most of his career, and is in such a pathetic state now that I don't think he will even score another test hundred until he retires (or is kicked out) from test cricket. Lara still has the magic, and has been a match-winner for more than a decade now.

He has abilities to play well against any bowler.
