Having said that,** there is a big problem of bigotry and extremism** within Saudi Arabia. There aid for militancy that started with the time of Soviet invasion, took an unofficial and uncontrolled form later on. The aid we got from them, with the noble motives of establishing madarrasah to take care of poor kids in rural area, became the lifeline of militant movement in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Don't know which happened first, but the "Islamists" hijacked the marassah institutions and are now surviving on the money sent in by their financier in Saudi Arabia, who play their part in establishing an 'Islamic state" by sending money all over to support the militant causes. Unfortunately, this unsupervised flow of money is sponsoring all kinds of ills in our trial regions, and I have great resentment against the Saudis for allowing this to happen.
I hope this was a large enough qualification of my stance and my gratitude for their help in previuos decades is well documented.
Right, it's always the others. I am glad that event such as this gave the likes of you the opportunity to vent out their vengeance, and a lot of these traits are applicable to you as well if in fact you believe in what you have posted. Time to take reflect back on one's own ideas..peace.

I wish both Pakistan and India would stress the importance of education at the highest extent and the fact that religion shouldn't enter into the schools. No madrassas!
religion should be taught at home.
What would it take for something like this to be possible.....then no more wackjob militants killing innocent people in both countries.:(

there is no problem with formal religious education, its just who is teaching and what they are teaching that is important. madrissas like the ones run by these goons and thise chunign out taleban foot soldiers give a bad name to the overwhelming majority of madrissas that are providing a service and filling a void.

absolutely heart wrenching… okay.. i have changed my mind… save the lives of innocent, poor students who are stuck in the crossfire…we’ll catch the Mullahs at another time…i feel so bad…let the *******s go, give them passage … God willing we’ll catch them on a different day…
ah man, it’s making me cry… this also shows what kind of circumstances force people to send their kids to these madarassah institutions and then be held hostage by them… govt. MUST improve the public schools and economic conditions of these remote tribal areas…

Sadly it was a BBC clip and not from Aaj or ARY. Local media need to bombard the Mullahs with these images, and EXPOSE the hostage situation... not fair that they are presenting it as a dispute between two parties instead of blackmailing of a thug
