lol your cousins like to show off they know english! same here! i have a khas english accent as i was born and raised here, i can speak good panjabi/urdu, but need to keep practising it!

I agree, because its not really a complete holiday if we are speaking in english there aswell, because the idea is to be some where different and experience your own personal culture. Next time he says hi, i will take my chapal off and throw it at his head! Joke!!!

lahoris in general sound more jahil when they speak, reminds me of basheera i n trouble.
Ppl from karachi can be a little whiny in how they sound very ummm bronx-ee

That is so irritating, second only to the fobby south indian accent where the heavy t's and d's assult your ears

oh we are speaking of urdu accents and not english ones.
it still stands. I think for the best urdu delivery you have to talk to ppl with backgrounds from lukhnow or aligarh etc. although i d find the sindhi accent for urdu very sweet, melodic and interesting.

lahori ki urdu ko hum log gulabi urdu kehte hain...........i m lahori too per bakool friends k karachi ki hawa leg chuki hai is liya accent lahori nahi hai...
kuch din pehle aik lahori bechi job ki baat per keh rehi thi "zahir hay awin mun chuk to accept nahi ker loon gy":D

I spent most of my life abroad and always found Punjabis speaking very good urdu, i myslef take pride in having a good urdu accent. When i went to Lahore, i was astonished to hear the Lahori urdu accent. Specially those of burger family/mummy dadi types.
Its like instead of saying "aap jain gey" they'll say "aap jaoo gey" and also the delivery is different.

Thats how Punjabi is written...I tried reading a Punjabi Newspaper...Full of Noon ghunna...Im telling u...literally...anywhere and everywhere......

There may be a few Lahoris that get nasal but not many rather it is Siyalkotis who get very nasal like u have written. Now about the words u have written, this how Karachites speak them
