Re: Lahore Metro Train : Orange Line

^ that is what I am saying. Shahbaz signed on behalf of Pakistan government. It is Pakistan government, that is, the whole Pakistan, who will pay this loan for project for Shahbaz's city.

Re: Lahore Metro Train : Orange Line

Bhaiyaa bhaye kotwaal to phir Gham kaahe kaa?

lagaa do billions aur! :D

Re: Lahore Metro Train : Orange Line

He cannot sign on behalf of Pakistan government, he has no office there. Please read the details of agreement from other sources. The Punjab Government would be responsible for providing infrastructure support to the Chinese company.

Re: Lahore Metro Train : Orange Line

And for people of Karachi,

You have taken part in almost all demonstrations, sit-ins, rallies for almost every party where every party has used you for their own benefit... For once, all of you get together and come on the roads forcing your govt to provide you with mass transport system... Would you be allowed to that?

Re: Lahore Metro Train : Orange Line

I'd still say that priority in terms of infrastructure should be given to Faisalabad, Sialkot and other industrial cities, even if the project is sponsored by Punjab Government. The priorities are clearly wrong.

But please do not misrepresent the facts.

Re: Lahore Metro Train : Orange Line

At present people are busy in making ID card of bhai.

Re: Lahore Metro Train : Orange Line

I agree with you. I think, Karachi and Lahore should not get more funds any longer, it will never be enough, if you keep pouring funds in mega cities, population will keep growing and problems keep getting worse.

Smaller cities should get more funds and infrastructure, so that the burden decreases from mega cities.

Re: Lahore Metro Train : Orange Line

well people from smaller cities would still move to bigger cities for work; so the government needs to focus on attracting investors in the manufacturing sector(similar to how China did) and open up factories & plants in the rural parts of Pakistan, especially in the most impoverished regions.

Re: Lahore Metro Train : Orange Line

wrong thread

Re: Lahore Metro Train : Orange Line

For Karachi to "deserve" a project/solution the first thing is that rulers of that city/province MUST bring it up to Federal government, propose a project and if the project is refused/denied only THEN people can cry about Fed neglecting Karachi. From what I heard even before Musharraf era mayor of Karachi received big funding for infra-structure improvements but since the funds were never utilized Fed took the funds back. Credit goes to Mustafa Kamal that he proposed road/bridges solution, Fed granted the fund and he utilized those funds.

Same goes here, if mayor of Karachi thinks transportation is a problem in Karachi then he must propose a solution which should then be taken up by sotu (sleepy) CM QAS who should then take it to Fed level. Do he have sincerity/trust/interest from mayor-to-CM level to solve Karachi's problems?

As for this project in Lahore, I support this one compared to the stupid bus project where he wasted billions.

Who is the PR person who does these adds for Pakistani politician?!?! I mean is there ever an occasion where these people DONT feel the need for gratuitous self promotion? shameless! I’m glad they are getting this thing up and running but should you really look this self satisfied over convincing the Chinese to help fund a project that they should be funding themselves? Still glad for Lahore though. Thanks Shabaz Sharif for talking the Chinese into it.
