Once it was established as a fact that Raymond is an American spy engaged in ill activities on the soil of Pakistan - after that how come government and law enforcement agencies got nothing to do with him ?

Exactly. The rumour is that the families have been spirited away to Saudi as part of the diyya. They were under pressure from mulla/pseudo mullas not to accept it, so that bit is understandable.
If so the contortions these jackasses are going into in order to condemn this without condemning a supposedly shariah law is hilarious.

On a second charge, illegal possession of a firearm, Davis was fined $250 and sentenced to time already served, the lawyer noted.
And this is the bare minimum fine and sentence as the sentence only for this offence could go up to 7 years imprisonment ...

Anyways... The whole point is to get your protest recorded in a peaceful manner. And none of PTI's protests have been violent to date.
