Ghazala, my mother has been making me do various massages and treatments since I was a kid - dahee, nimbu, besan…it does help youre right, but I never carry on for long enough to see a noticeable difference!

AQ, yes I also used to recite gkaaley Allah mian ke pyaareyh when I was a little girl! It did make me feel better somehow. And then we used to say, ggorey Allah mian ke boreyh, whatever that meant!

when i first came to OZ, i couldnt speak english and attended an all greeks school. Even though greeks themselves are olive skinned, i think i was one of the 3 darkies at school
I was called brownie, darkie, abo, black beauty, lankan etc
but in primary school i really didnt care and not much in HS either.. its only when i went to paki they mocked my skin colour and oh when my sisters got together and told me how i was the darkest..
