Man, I hope it does well. This seems like a REAL f'in movie. FINALLY. They've come up with something controversial, which theoretically should draw the crowds. Although I wont be suprised if some of the religious parties start bullying for a ban on the movie and there are bomb threats at some of the cinemas.
Which means it will enjoy an even more awesome success abroad, which is where the real money will get raked in anyway.

Okay, its certain now that Khuda Ke Liye would be screened at the Universe Cineplex in Karachi. Awarapan, running at the same theatre, has apparently bombed. So much for Bollywood films having a market in Pak.

i just bought the audio album .. well i wont say the whole album was rocking .. but the fact is .... there are some damn cool songs ... n by the tone of the song we can guess .. there wont be ne pathetic barish songs or gaoon key reveling kaproon waley item number ....

The album has CLASS written all over it. Bandeya, Khuda Ke Liye and the tracks by Ahmed Jahanzeb are really cool. The only disappointment was the instrumental. Only a genius like Shoaib Mansoor can come up with a HIP and HIT soundtrack for such a serious film as this one! Btw, the track "Dunya Ho" is bound be a sure hit -- has a very Nazia Hassan-ish feel to it.

^Actually I'm also quite surprised by that. The disagreement and disappointments aside, they're both too courteous of human beings to express such stuff. JJ admits his issues and as far as i knew the hard feelings were over and SM was never the kind to come out with any such harsh comments. Wonder why this came up now?

^^ Keep in mind that JJ left the shoot midway, and was also responsible for giving second thoughts to other ex-cast members like Ali Zafar. All the playback singers [ahmed jahanzeb specially] were chosen keeping JJ and his vocals in mind. So Shoaib has to be pissed!
