Geo has started the promos but like everything Shoaib Mansoor the promos are also a story of their own. By no means do the promos promote the film for its probable worth. But I guess Shoaib Mansoor prefers his work to remain low profile like himself too, maybe he's confident his track record would attract enough attention and business. There are almost no billboards, and the promos are too simple. Atleast the ones GEO has shown so fare are.

I agree Haris, they must release the proper trailer for the film, and not just some musical trailers. A "proper" trailer is probably between 1 and 3 minutes long and gives the true flavor of the film. The Zibahkhana folks did it. What we're seeing right now are just trailers of the musical album and even they're totally lukewarm. Shoaib Mansoor better come up with something more attention grabbing and interesting if he wants to promote his film well.

You know, I personally believe that the Geo people and Mansoor himself are possibly aware of the fact that the content of the film is too ‘provocative’, so maybe they’re apprehensive that if the public at large gets to know what its about, it might trigger some unrest which results in them not being able to screen it in the theaters. So they’re playing shy by just playing out the songs. But possibly, a trailer IS being screened in the theaters. We seriously need to get more info about this film moving about coz all this is just conjecturing!

Interesting thing he mentioned about about Junaid. It was surprise for me that shoaib didnot took Juanid decision very good.

is this movie gonna released in UAE (Dubai/Abu Dhabi) or not, I can't understand that why Pakistani movies are not released in UAE as of Indian all local movies released here.

As of religious matter, Middle East is the best place to release this movie and a gud compaign is required as well through bilboards, Radio programmes and in print media.

There are more than of 450,000.00 Pakistanies in UAE and this can be very good market for pakistani movies.

But first let them make the standard otherwise these can't compete Indian movies..

^^ Go to the website and check the synposis. In a nutshell, the film is about two brothers: The elder one [Shaan] goes to US to study and ends up on the wrong side of the US law after 9/11, while the younger one becomes a fundo as a result. Mansoor has attempted to expose how the madrassah "scholars"/fundoz/mullahs of Lal Masjid kind exploit the masses -- entirely for their own end.

Hmm looks interesting. Just read this news in which the Lal masjid cleric was calling it blasphemous, asking it to be banned. Any comments???

Because cleric in lal masjid is more interested in films like "Burqa orh kar Faraar" than these kind of movies.
