Khandaan has been written/directed/acted in a very amateurish way. The whole serial looks like an extended skit of hum sab umeed say hain. The characters are so caricaturish and stereotypical. watch it for a good laugh. I would call this serial a serial killer...dramey ki maut.

Honestly—I am not as experienced—to know what the Director really has in mind. I am just a TIFL-e-MAKTUB hence..cannot really comment!
Ye baatain tou experience and with people having huge up their sleeves on directional aspects–have it! Not…ameatures like me—

raju uncle i have seen a lot of good work in zulfiqar sheikh’s dramas and i like them alot.u must have noticed i didnt comment abt the drama at the start of the thread.but yesterday was watching it and i didnt find it that gripping:bummer:i dont know maybe the script is poor or the director didnt work that hard:@: i wont blame the actors cause they are always the best ,its the director/writer who give them the righ path for acting:D

Yes–I agree with you that directional aspects could be weak or may have gone bereft–when you are in a hurry or pressed with time.
For KHANDAAN I can attribute it’s weak scenes & directions PLUS artiste’ output to the severe cold weather! also…and I just can’t explain or define the COLD weather we had to bear–much so much–that at one point Mona and Mikaal almost froze when we were at Maxwell Park for shoot of their scene near the pond…and Mona’s scene of taking pictures and meeting Mikaal by chance!

Indeed…there could be some flaws on the script as well…as NOBODY is perfect and should NOT be expected to be…

Having said that…I thought that it’s not with Zulfi or Seema but with most & few that things sometime take turn in a different angle.

We must also remember that a MAJORITY of the viewers MATTER not one or two or three or nine…with their absolute biased thoughts on what can be termed as HUB-e-ALI and BUGHZ-e-MUAWIYA ! and that too bitterly that some right has been stolen by the one in range!

I think Zulfiqar Sheikh should stop making dramas and do what he is good at, Oh btw what is he good at though

he’s good at making travelogues of scotland beech mein thora thora drama bhi daal deta hai with the help of inept writers like seema khatoon who sell more kabaar than a kabaaria.

Its' one of my 425 plays since 2nd December-1967 !!!!
I have spent a life/generation in serials, series and plays...
and may have received the worst to bad to good to excellent reviews...
that its all welcome with criticism but not with rebuke, and faaltow language!!!! that we all are civilized people here!

If CRITICISM be the food of review---play it on!!! but do understand WHAT criticism actually stands for!! Have respect for the director, writer, artiste and the team...one doesn't BUY them that they see their plays!!

I saw perhaps 2 episodes and I can safely say.. it's pathetic! From the direction..to the dialogues.. to the dialogue delivery AND suprisingly the acting too.. for the first time Maria Wasti isn't in her element either!

The dialogues are all delivered with such a straight face.. as if they're reading it off of a reading machine "acha ab kiya hoga?" NO expressions at all..

HUM TV on the other hand has a couple of decent serials.. one that seems promising is Nur Pur ki Raani...

Aashti, another let-down! Weak direction.. and very fake accents make it hard to digest it as a "natural"..only saving factor is Faisal's acting.
