Re: Karma Bridal

and SCG outfit is on 1st page.

Re: Karma Bridal

Karma ppl are lootera-s :D...they charge mighty big bucks! :p

Re: Karma Bridal

^ so does every other designer everywhere else! lol

Re: Karma Bridal

my kaam is a bit different. this looks more metallic, whereas mine was dabka and kundan but overall it was pretty damn similar.

Re: Karma Bridal

Karma clothes are so nice but expensive. What's there price range?
What if you wanted those dresses copied? how would that work out in lahore? How long does it take them to make the dress?

Re: Karma Bridal

price range is 1-2 lakhs, right, girls?

and i think timing depends on who you go to. if its to karma themselves, they'd probably be able to accommodate your timeline.
if you get it copied from somewhere, make sure its someone reliable and who's work you've seen and like. its all about referrals and word of mouth. talk to everyone you know in karachi and see if there are any recommendations.

Re: Karma Bridal

If you opt to not go to Pakistan for ur wedding shopping you could spend ur ticket money on a a karma bridal outfit :hula:

Re: Karma Bridal

^ great idea!

Re: Karma Bridal

but how would u get the karma bridal outfit if u live in america? they dont have any outlet here, u wont be able to look at all their designs and kaam, and even if u happen to choose some outfit by looking at their outfits online, the dress will never fit u perfectly even if u send them ur measurements.

Re: Karma Bridal

so send them your naap. and at their prices, im pretty sure they'd be happy to courier kaam/fabric samples to you to approve before they make your outfit. or you could do your homework and send them kaam/fabric samples since they can dye almost anything over there to match anything else and can recreate all sorts of kaam. or you could trust them as designers, considering they usually make pretty kick ass outfits, and leave it in their hands. for eg: thats how bunto kazmi works too- when you go to her, you go knowing you'll be leaving your outfit in her capable hands. she usually even recommends colors based on brides' complexions and personalities, i believe. it might not be what you thought you'd wear, but i bet it'll be gorgeous! :)

Re: Karma Bridal

I have friends who ordered designer bridal outfits from India/Pakistan without visiting.

Usually, they can send you sketches or fabric swatches if you ask. As far as sizing is concerned, get yourself measured by a tailor, and send them those sizes. Most decent designers will then send you plain cotton blouse stitched to your specifications, which you then take to a tailor and have altered to fit you exactly, and then send back so they can use it as a model.

These outfits run 200-300,000 rupees...they're willing to do a lot for you once they know you're a serious buyer.

Re: Karma Bridal

actually i would feel too guilty spending that much on a single outfit :frowning: come to think of it money is not as big a problem as my conscience :crying:

Re: Karma Bridal

conscience smonscience, ff :p
its a gorgeous piece that could become a family heirloom... think of it that way when signing the credit card slip :)

Re: Karma Bridal

lol. arghhhh temptations galore.

Re: Karma Bridal

my chachi went yesterday to karma to find out prices, she said all their dresses are 1.5 lakh, 2 lakh or 2.5 lakh. she asked prices for deco raj which someone has already posted earlier, they said it was 2 lakh. i forgot the other dresses she asked for but they were all 2 lakh. i will ask her today again and let you all know which dresses they were. they also said that once u have decided which dress you want, they would sit down with you and happily discuss the price, meaning reducing it. she also said that any dress that was for 1.5 lakh sucked.

Re: Karma Bridal

Karma has horrible customer service if you live abroad. First, they don't respond back to queries until you literally stalk them. A friend of mine ended up going to Pakistan from Canada only because they never responded to her emails about placing the order. Designer Naina on the other hand seems much more professional. I had initially contacted her for a dress, she had emailed me back promptly and called to discuss every single detail. She was even going to send swatches and colors. Same thing with Nilofer, her assistants showed like 5 samples to my aunt in Pakistan, allowed her to sit in and check out the kaam.

Re: Karma Bridal

if you're in pakistan, its all fine and dandy, but how is nilofer with overseas customer service? i mean, in the end i guess these people get enough business at home so they don't feel the need to respond to foreign queries or something? its annoying, i agree.

Re: Karma Bridal

is this karma's actual bridal outlet, like other designers in Pakistan.
bcz i was told its sumthin like by appointments only,so can you just go in and see their bridal range?... where are maheen kardar and amna kardar located?

Re: Karma Bridal

well it says its the HQ, so i'm guessing this is where maheen and amna are based out of and you would need an appointment to see them.
