You can still have fun if u don't wanna break your bank. There are tones of awesome food BBQ/grill shops every 2 miles or so, serving mouthwatering Desi food like Frontier karahi, or Nankeen lamb. You can have karak dood patti chai at any quetta cafe.
I am noting down all these places. What are the best places for chicken dishes? How many rupees would be enough for a week if u wanted to try different foods and shop for a wedding?

My friends brothers had opened up a restaurant in Clifton, BBQ tonight. I heard it was amazing. They were like 6 big n tall Afghan brothers

Go to the beachside, there is a whole food street there. It is called Port Grand. Visit at sunset, it is beautiful. One thing is, because this place is a tourist hotspot, the restaurants are really expensive. They know that people with money will come there. The food is good, but nothing extraordinary. So if you are gonna visit, go for snacks and the area. Not for actual dinning.
Thanks for the suggestions Dubaiwali. I am really hoping to watch sunset near the beachside and have a camel or horse ride. Maybe i will get snacks. I will need to ask u and people here what are good snack places for foreigners as usually i just eat hot food when eating outside.

I have some incredible friends there, they keep in touch even after 25 yrs.
Now thats what you call real friendship. You are role model of what good friendship is. Many of today's generation have difficulty maintaining friendship for over 2 yrs.

Please keep any and all suggestions coming. Who knows if and when i will get to visit again. So i want to make most of experience and hopefully get to meet some people from GS.

Yes Karachi weather is the best in January followed by December, February, November, late August and early September. Worst months are June, May, October, July and April.
From November to February beaches are calm and ideal for swimming especially the Russian Beach. Karachi has the longest day in Pakistan in December and January.

I sure will Uncle. At the moment im waiting for final date of the wedding, getting some days off then and then finally getting visa.
Getting a visa is harder than a job interview. Lol need letters from employees, bank statement and invitation letter from someone living in Pakistan.
Look forward to the trip. I will definitely pay for some of the clothing or i'll feel bad.

Thanks mostar. Looks like im going at the right day and time. This russian beach sounds interesting. I dont know if i will swim but i'll definitely go on the camel ride.
