Well buddies, if there was someoneelse in the power, things would have been the same. The tomatoes would still be sold at the same price on eid days. Back in the early 90s, when Baqar eid was in April, the prices of tomatoes shot up to Rs. 40 per kg. With the devaluation of the money, it is almost equivalent to these days Rs. 120 or 140.

Once my father told me when price of aanta went up to some one rupee per 10 sair, my dadi was very much upset on that "mehangai"

Aray bhai koi bhi takht-e-Islamabad pur bhetay, mehangai waisa hi raheegi. Pur jiss mehangai nay logo ki kamar tori hia wo hia makano ki qimat aur makano ka kiraya.

One of the major items of the manshoor of PNA in 1977 was that they will bring down the prices of all the things back to the one in 1971.

They joined the Zia goverment in 1978-1980 what did they do to that effect?

Botanically it is a fruit. As a general term it is mainly regarded as a vegetable. But in some countires it is eaten as a fruit as well.

On avg the same price that you experienced. Its Rs 50 this week.
