I think vast majority of entrenched terrorists in Karachi are from MQM. Jihadis are more mobile...they come and go...which kind of makes it even harder to control gun/terrorists coming in and going out for the city.

On the one hand Haider Abbas Rizvi is saying that MQM would support across the board operation in karachi but their reaction is opposite to their claims. I dont think the city can be cleaned if political parties will keep interfering.

as a result, we are gonna see selective operation with milder approach to his own and heavy handed approach on others. this is the reality.
i believe it's just a cosmetic and face-saving operation...in the last two days, inspite of ALL operations, 22 people have been targeted and killed in Karachi.
Been there, done that....of no use
Element of surprise is gone too so all badmashs have left the town anyway.
There is no quick-operation fix for Karachi problem. Yes it is necessary to stop bleeding but long time fix and heeling process should follow which never did in previous operations and I doubt it will after this.
