The deteriorating security situation in Karachi is a serious concern for the nation of Pakistan. Karachi is the largest city of Pakistan, and the ongoing surge in violence impacts the rest of the country. We’ve always emphasized Pakistan’s importance in the region. We cannot have a safe and secure region without a safe and secure Pakistan. We stand by the government of Pakistan in its effort to bring the situation under control. We have full trust in their abilities to negate the threat of violence in Karachi. We wish to see peace prevail throughout the city, and we wish a safe and secure environment for its residents.

when Qayam Ali Shah is the commander, probably his instructions are:
"apne logoN pe haula haath, dusre logoN par bhaarii haath rakhnaa!"
as a result, we are gonna see selective operation with milder approach to his own and heavy handed approach on others. this is the reality.
i believe it's just a cosmetic and face-saving operation...in the last two days, inspite of ALL operations, 22 people have been targeted and killed in Karachi.
Operation is directly controlled by Ch Nisar/Federal Government. Qaim Ali Shah is only there to buffer MQM's onslaught, shield NS and ready to get all sh!te from MQM, if MQM people are arrested for their crimes. People inside MQM are not that idiots that they do not understand who is actually controlling the operation. Qaim Ali Shah is good for nothing he is only a dummy figure in this operation.
I don't mind control by Ch Nisar/Federal Government as long as it is successful in curtailing the heinous crimes, Karachi is facing since inception of MQM.

To be honest, you cannot really conduct an armed operation in of your largest and most populated cities without letting the public know. I don't know...maybe they should've given a 12/24 hour notice or something.

Today IG Karachi claimed to have arrested MQM UNIT 178, alleged murderer of nemat ullah randhawa, who was pursuing Wali Khan's case. He also claimed that there were indian weapons recovered from the unit office.
Quite a few revelations. But was announcing it in a presser a must? MQM will whine and close karachi down tomorrow. Does police have enough proof? I hope they do.

they have been arresting terrorists @ 10-30 people everyday for the last 4 weeks, but killings haven't stopped. yesterday alone 11 people were killed in 8 hours [midnight to 8 am]...what kinda operation is that the arrests haven't made a dent in terror activities?

i think announcing in press conference is good in this case, if police keep quite they try to get their men released by pressure behind closed doors, and also claim that police/rangers has kidnapped their men, and their workers are missing etc etc.

there definitely is some difference, many are caught, but thing is, these killers are just too many in number, thousands
