I have just completed day 3 and boy is this exercise a killer, even though I am used to physical exercise this workout has all my thigh, shoulder and arm muscles aching. The work out itself is not so bad if it wasn't for the muscle pain. The first day my legs felt like jelly (literally) and I too was about to fall down the stairs after day one, and the past two days have been so hard for me to walk up and down the stairs at college, just hope the pain goes away by tomm so I can get shredding. All in all its a fun exercise and over before you know it, I just hope it's enough for me to loose some weight.

for my diet: I have been drinking a shake for breakfast (using skimmed milk) and cut out all breads, tea and junk food, replaced them with 3 fruits a day and lots of water. If I feel like a hot drink I have a green tea with honey. I have stopped roti and replaced it with rice (even better if you have brown rice) with normal salaan in the evening. And no eating after 7 clk.

I thought rice makes you fatter than roti? That's why I've rice once a week only.

I'm having 2 slices of multigrain bread with eggs and orange juice for breakfast. And then every 2nd. or 3rd. day roti for dinner by 7. and lots of water and fruits/boiled veggies. Should I change my routine?

I'm on a wheat free diet, I wasn't aware of rice having more cal then roti until I just googled it. But I have small portions, I'll have 1/3 rice, 1/3 salad and 1/3 salaan. Aslong as your not eating after 7 clk you should be ok.

I'm planning on stopping my shakes next week and go on a detox diet. It's actually my 6th day today and I feel fantastic! Yesterday I done the 20 min routine + ran on the treadmill and done extra 20 mins of cardio

Im going to restart this as of tmw inshallah!

I done this about a month ago lasted 4 days n stoppped its really hard to do it especially if u live with a big family, i cnt even do it in my room as i have laminate floooring!!!!

Inshallah tomorrow is the start of this challenge for me! I have to shed alot of weight by mid mayy a frend is getting married:-)

I am sooo motivated by this thread!
congrats khawa... I think I have the same body type as u... I fit into mediums but on my chest its too tight. And my Jeans size is 10. I used to be a size 2 before... soo it is really depressing and I am getting married in June. So I will start this as soon as I can get my hands on the dvd. Hopefully it will all go gr8 n i will achieve the same results as u.
Until I recieve the dvd in mail, I will do diet and cardio to prepare for the shred.

I was supposed to do cardio today but instead I had alot of rice and aloo baji. :( arghhhh Idk how to just stick to the things I plan. I ordered the DVD online and it will arrive between Mon 4/11/11 to Fri 4/15/11... I really hope it arrives by next monday because then I will have exactly 2 months time to get back in shape. I really want to be a size 4 by my wedding... which I know is pushing it but I would really be happy with being a 6... any change would be good. I thought I was a size 10 but today I fit into size 8-9 jeans. Which made me reallllyyyy happy and I ate 2 cookies to celebrate. hahahah I am pathetic.
I did alot of walking at the mall today and plan or doing laundry and cleaning the entire house. So hopefully it will burn some calories.
I can not wait till that dvd arrives!!!
I have 12 personal fitness training sessions that I need to use too... But I am saving those till after the JM shred is done so I can really benefit from the personal training sessions.
I will do measurements today and post them up.

Both Shred and P90X use muscle confusion, which are said to not produce permanent results. Maybe once you're in shape, it would be best to start off on a proper weight training/cardio routine.

That being said, I wanted some quick results and I haven't even (re)started yet :D.

I dont think any excersice will give permnent results if u stop working out... Its meant to be a part of ure daily life if u wanna sty in shape

yeyyyyyy sooo my DVD arrived in the mail today and I was soooo happpy! I ripped off the envelope and was just ready to go. But laziness crept in and I made excuses not to start today. I am too scared to even watch it. But I promise I will do the workout tomorrow for sure.I am setting my alarm for 30 mins early so I can do this. Heheheh wish me luck.. I will keep u guys updated!

DAY 1

So i woke up early in the morning and did the work out. It was a bit tiring. I didnt feel much burn or anything while doing it. However, I was ready to give up at the last circuit. I worked through it. I skipped the cool down and just sat down doe 5 mins. I hateeee the jumping rope, it hurts my ankles. Later on in the day, I felt a bit sore but I had alot of energy. I walked alot, attended a dance class, went shopping, and what not. However, I ended up binging and ate cookies, pizza, and fries for dinner. Arghhhg I just keep coming up with excuses not to do it tomorrow but I know I really have to my wedding is only two months away!!!!
