I did, it was pretty good but very long and not something I can do now being so busy with my dissertation. I haven't worked out properly in the past few months due to ill health so I'm really out of shape now but I'm dying to go down just one dress size before my grad ball.
I still am doing the first 2 circuits of Level 2 with 5 lb dumbbells:champ:
Its the 3rd circuit that really kicks my b*** and I am now using 2.2 lb d-b’s for it…
Good news is, the pain goes away in 4 to 5 days So hang in there and keep pushing yourself and keep us updated…we’ll cheer you on
Had a quick browse through the thread, sounds tempting for someone who needs to loose some weight. Quick question to everyone who has tried this routine; exactly how much weight/dress sizes did u loose?
I did level one for few weeks but couldnt continue due to many things. but i loved it. I am non-active person but i feel so relaxed, all family and friends noticed change in my body shape.
i didnt lost weight as i have very high insulin so i am on treatment now.
You guys make me want to try it again. But how will I survive the pain in those first 5 days? :( I haven't been working out since early November and even then, all I did was cardio.
My "first" (and so far last) was with 5 lbs. dumbbells. Lol, I thought I could take it. IN MY FACE!
I am thinking of starting again without any weights and build my way up from there.
I need LOTS of support and motivation, ladies, especially when it starts hurting.
Hi Colourful!
I am almost 2/3rd done with the routine and I have not been good about healthy eating (I have gorged on chocolates and sweets during this time, eeep!) Last time that I measured myself (about a week ago) I had lost an inch off my waist, and about half an inch from my chest and also an inch or so off my hips... so that is good :)
I hope to be more diligent about what I put in my mouth till the end of Level 3 and see how that will improve my inches lost :D
Will keep everyone updated on my progress!

Thnx ladies. I have ordered her dvd from play.com for £4.99 should be here in a couple of days. for the moment I have been using the Davina Mccall dvd and tht is pretty intense too. Plus for the past few days I have been on the slimfast diet which consists of 2 milkshakes 3 snacks (fruit on veg) and one 600 cal meal in the evening, so far everything seems fine.
Also I have just downloaded Jillians Michaels free Apps, which is pretty good to keep track of ur progress. Off now to treat myself to a swanky new fitness monitor to keep me motivated.
Hi everyone,:)
This site has inspired me to give it a go. I'm now on day 7, day 1 to 3 really was challenging, day 3 the worst as I fell down sum concrete stairs and now have a golf ball growing from my left arm. I think because I could barely walk from muscle pain and the stairs were wet. Anyhow I got stuck straight into Jillian.
Day 4 I thought I couldn't walk on day 3 but boy I was needing my husband to help me up and down. Probably because of my fall. Hurt my behind as well as arm. Still worked out after all it's only 20mins.
Got thru day 5, day 6 I added a run thru hilly forest with pup and again today, workout getting a lot easier, love the abs part and the end has to be my favorite. Really makes you puff and sweat.
I just finished day 2. I can’t feel my arms, I don’t dare walk down the stairs because I already had trouble doing that yesterday. Tomorrow is going to be SO painful.
Day 8 done.. Up with hubby early so got it done by 6. Busy day for me so no hill run.
Khawas right pain does go. Hope to get results like you Khawa.
Best part for me so far is the muscles in me legs. Really gets u motivated. I feel so much stronger.
Jillian still whipping me though.
Keep going Chilly, you can do it. Only 20mins and 30 days, repeat if necessary :)
i started back up again, I did it twice with like 5-10 days gap in between :hinna: but even with that gap, I felt my stamina had increased anyway, I made it allll the way to the cooldown part.
Do any of you try to do a different exercise in plae of one? like pushups were way too hard for me so when she did the pushups I alternated between doign the “plank” and some pushups…
ya sara i used to do that... especially when i did my cool down wrong with my leg pulls and messed up my knee... for a week i used to do the jump rope or run in the same spot whenever she did the jumping jacks... i did that until my knee healed. at level 3.. when she is doign her crazy push ups.. i did the ones at level 1... so ya you can alternate.. as long as you are working out the same muscle in another way.
All ladies doing Jillian Michael 30-day shred, what's your diet? Is it normal routine like roti three times a day or you've reduce the amount of roti to 2 or 1 time a day? How mush meat interms of protein intake? and daals/veggies/fruits?
