I am actually finding it very difficult to do this when I am in the middle of a hard move all ready to give up and the baby starts crying for no reason and I have to go and comfort him. Eventually I too want to start a routine early in the morning when everyone else is still asleep.
Ps: Where have you been? We need an update from you. :)
Ok so I got thru the 20 mins with about 4 5sec breaks. I was surprised I could do the jumping jacks, the jump rope wasn't too ankle friendly for me.. so I just kept it really really modified - my ankle is inflammed so I have to be careful with it. All in all, Im sweating like no tomorrow.. I mean literally dripping off me in pools!
Oh and I have total jello legs.. but I know I'll feel amazing later on.. when I can wear those bechare shadi ke kapre that never managed to even "phasso-fy" on me.
Day 8.. the muscle pain still hasn’t subsided but I knew that if i dont get on with this today then I will get out the routine and just stop.
So did it and it was a lot easier after taking a days break.. didnt get as out of breath and did most of it without any problems.
APART from jumping jacks… it must use THE injured muscle or something cos it was oh so painful but then I just substituted jumping jacks for other cardio stuff… so day 8 done. Keep it up guys, we can do this
I know! That’s the same problem I know I’m going to have. You’re in the middle of the exercise, just looking for an excuse to get out, and the little one starts crying. It just kinda ruins the rhythm you have going, yeah? That’s why I’m thinking of just getting it done before the kids are up, so I don’t get distracted easily.
I’m around. Haven’t had time to blog lately, I guess. I will soon
DAY 2:
Got through Day 2! I have it marked on my phone as "get up lazy bum" so I was up at 7 - prayed and got right into it. I find working out in the mornings soo much easier.
I didnt get sore until later on last night and still am but its not as bad as I had thought! I made it through with some 5 sec breaks, only in cardio.. made it through the modified version of pushups - but overall Im glad its over.. I have a hard time doing the bicycle crunches.. anyone tried any modified versions?
Somebody kill me please.. I am exhausted! I felt sore, tired, un-motivated but still got up and got through the 20 mins. Pushups are still hard for me as are lunges.. my foot placement on the lunges isnt that great and I remember this one trainer used to stand behind me and put her foot under mine so that I wouldnt lose balance. I have muscles hurting like they never existed but its the pain where I know Im doing something right.
Day 9 was ok... today should have been day 10 but i went back to uni and just didnt hav the time... plus was so tired from all those lectures... so gona have to think of something... maybe do it straight after fajr but i always wana just crawl back into bed at that point.. sigh. Do think iv lost a bit of weight but not a huge difference yet... and had some pasta and garlic bread at pizza hut today. felt like a whale after that. Sigh.
How do you guys find the motivation to actually get up and do it...and the time for that matter!!
I'm very impressed! And that wasn't a retorical question....I want an answer...I need motivation!
malika12.. you just keep going through this amazing thread. No seriously, Ive had the JM dvd sicne last year.. I got it and only did it for 2 days and after tht never bothered to even take it out of the case until I read this thread. Its been 4 days now and I've been on a go - U just have to realize that what your doing is for yourself and its necessary!
Mysti its some muscle in the mid chest area. I have never known such pain but i think its gradually getting better..
Didnt do the shred for 2 days because i wanted to try resting the muscle and also my uni timetables like 9-6 most days so by the time i get home i have no energy to do anything..
Khair... did it today... wasnt that hard as it was my day 10... think im gona do a couple more days at level one and then go to level 2..
Disappointed cos i dont think i have lost much weight but definitely dont get out of breath as easily so health is improving... hopefully the weight loss will follow... else im gona cry
we all lose weight differently... i lost fast and then it decreased.... some will lose weight ih the middle of the whole work out.. but lose weight you will...
also eat healthy ya? since you are studying.. take stairs everywhere...
I havent done the Shred in 2 days. Im being honest about it because the 4th day I couldnt move my legs.. it hurt soo bad.
Day 5 I did some aerobics and spent the whole day packing so got my workout fix from that.
Today I woke up all tired but managed to get through the first 10 minutes of the exercise. I was fasting for bloodwork since yesterday night so after 10 mins I started getting dizzy and really thirsty so had to stop. My husband can see a little difference in my tummy already.. only 4-5 days in. I can zip up my jacket without having to lift the zipper up.. which was really shocking.. so ladies it does work.. just put your heart into it!!
ok so after a week or so off, i finally did it yest. My motivation is my husband Alhamd, he makes me do it. Yest when he said we should worked out, instantly i started imagining pains and aches etc. But i still did it Alhamd. And since i had done several times before, wasnt too bad. I am thiking we can start on level 2 today inshaAllah.
Yeah have been eating healthily on the whole.. and yep been taking the stairs.. my labs are on the 4th floor- usually used to be out of breath by floor 2 but now its floor 3 so thats a good sign! And been walking a lot too.
Unfortunately missed the shred again today got home really late :hinna:
I think I've pulled a hamstring muscle, lot of pain during cardio. Took a day off, will see how things go tomorrow. Other than that things were going so well.
