I am going to stop drinking soda but I do love food so I need some ideas fo healthy food!

day 4... was okay :) decided to start doing it in the morning now so that the fear of JM doesnt hang over me for the whole day.. also apparently its better to exercise first thing on an empty stomach..
it wasnt TOO bad but the soles of my feet were killing!! Now managed 10 press ups so slow and steady progress is being made..
glad theres quite a few of us doing it cos boy do i need the motivation.. 26 days to go...

Well I've tried to modify my diet and I think I'm gonna start posting what I've eaten because I was totally lost for healthy meals aswell so it may help some of you guys out :)
Todays plan for me:
Breakfast: Activia Mango Yoghurt - literally fat free.. and only 75 calories!!
Felt a bit peckish after a bit but drank half a glass of semi-skimmed milk and felt fine after that :)
Lunch: Tuna and sweetcorn sandwich on wholemeal bread. 330 calories
Snack: Tangerine!
Dinner: Baked haddock with steamed vegetables
If I feel peckish after dinner and before bed then my rule is to just eat a fruit.. so mainly just been eating tangerines.. and apples.
I don't feel hungry at all.. and also a few sips of water everytime I go into the kitchen...
Literally not drinking any fluids other than water and milk.
I'm sure you can go a lot healthier than this as it isnt the healthiest of meal plans but its a big difference for me from what I usually pig out on.. cant wait for the day 10 weigh in!

inzi.. thanks for sharing.. I love yogurt but all of them that I find here have gelatin in them.. some say kosher gelatin but that doesn't rule out the fact that it's not from animals so now I can't even eat yogurt.. the only one taht doesn't have is Chobani greek yogurt and I have eaten taht so much that it makes me sick now!
I have to have tea in the morning so probably I will try to cut sugar in it!
We bought so much fruit only to find it go bad because we were so lazy in eating that :-(
Do you mind sharing recipes as well?

How about having a smoothie for breakfast... that way you'll be using up the fruit and having a healthy breakfast.. or even a piece of toast (wholemeal bread) with honey or something because honey is supposed to be quite good..
We don't eat much fruit usually.. go straight to the junk drawer but since doing the shred I've been more disciplined and just reached for the fruit instead..
Yeah I'll share some recipes later.. I'm not really a cook cos mum does all the cooking but past few days have been trying to make healthy meals and found some good recipes on the internet.. I'll share them a bit later on :)

Also, have you tried drinking green teas? They are supposed to be really good in aiding weight loss - :) But yeah otherwise just cut down the sugar gradually.. and of course use milk with less fat

girls.... if you count every single calorie.. .you are gonna burn yourselves out .. ... as long as you guys arent overloading on sugary or fatty stuff... its ok! even a cookie here and there doesnt hurt.
i didnt count jack... hate doing that cuz its un natural imho.. you should be able to eat things without worrying how many calories you have consumed bite by bite. .. none of you way 100 kgs. maybe at that point one would go that route...

I have to take a break, my back has been killing me. I saw my chiro yest and she did her magic but i think i need a couple more days of rest. I am thinking i hurt my back while doing side lunges with the weights (arm raises). I will ditch the weights for this movement from now on. Btw, i think i see a difference in teh way my tummy looks. Its not as jiggly and horrid looking anymore (i think). I probaly should measure myself.

size 2?! ok im gonna take it you live in a country that has a total diff sizing chart than where i live.. cuz size 2 is already puny where i live!
its dependant on your body how fast you lose weight.. but to just drop a dress size... i think level 1 will be enough... give it 10 days.. 12 max... i think it wont be that hard..... you can do it! your motivation should be... if a fat woman can do jumping jacks on biggest loser.. then why cant it... or put a pair of jeans you want to be able to fit into and work out infront of it... honestly....
and if you arent prepared to work out and lose weight in a healthy way which will also tone you.... then atleast dont eat junk food...
(im trying to be mean so that it works as reverse psychology and you get pissed and start to work out).
less intense may mean longer period of time for weight loss...
20 mins man... thats it.... 20 mins... build up your stamina... its only the first 3 days that are hard.. and then you are set! woman i couldnt do 5 jumping jacks when i started.. the warm up usd to tire me out... and now i can do 40 in a go!
YOU CAN DO IT! its intenese yes... but the results are also to die for!

size 4 US is size 6 UK....It all depends on the body type. I'm not very curvy so I have to stay thin or I'll look bad. :( I have a pregnancy pouch and my face looks very 'bhara bhara' in a bad way so I need to tone up a bit.
I'm on Day 4. Soreness is subsiding but I'm still afraid I'll injure myself because I'm not a pro even though I follow Anita. I haven't lost anything but instead I gained 2lbs but I'm pretty sure it's muscle gain. Let's see how it goes, I'll report back soon!

do not hop onto the scale just yet... the weighing machine took some time go budge.. but the inches were awesome... dont count unless and until you are past day 10... verna you will get disheartened. and as long as you are warmping up and cooling down properly... its all good... unless you have a bad body part taht can easily give when put into stress... my knees hurt when i did it.. but then i realized i was cooling down very wrong...

So after 5 days I had to take a day off cause of lack of sleep but ended up taking two days off. Kal phir se back to boot camp. :hinna: Can’t hadly wait for day 30.

day 6 - i was being lazy all day and then in the evening thought i HAVE to do this… so did it but i didnt really give it my all..
but at least i did it i guess.. also began getting pain in my mid-chest area which is still there
(might have been cos i didnt warm up properly on this day) feels like muscle pain but i dunno - its pretty painful when im doing jumping jacks n stuff and persists throughout the day so dunno if i should see the doc..
day 7 - did it but the pain was quite bad but i just thought must carry on.. and did the workout.. and then i ate brownies
but otherwise eating hasnt been too bad.
khawa i know what you mean about not weighing ourselves.. im so tempted though.. but atm i do not feel like i have lost much on the areas i WANT to lose it.. but have noticed a slight difference.. just gonna stick with it for the 30 days though and see what happens - KUCH to ho ga na ![]()

Okay, so after reading all of your experiences, I’m gonna jump on board
Need to get rid of all that extra weight I gained while I was preggo.
Just trying to figure out a time that I can do the shred. Trying to find time with two boys, a hubby and running a home..is kinda hard. And yes Khawa, I know you’re a lot more busier than I am, but still
So I’ll figure out sometime to do it. I think the hardest part is figuring a time when you can do it at the same time every day.
I’m gonna order the DVD today, so hopefully I’ll have it by early next week sometime and I can start then. Can’t wait to start hurtin’! ![]()

My backache was so much better today ALhamd. I think i will start tomorrow as well.
smilestar, how old are your kids? get them to do the workout with you as well. My almost 2 year old loves doing it with us. I think its much better than her watching tv mindlessly, no? And hopefully in the process, she is gaining a better outlook on working out than i have had so far. inshaAllah.

Ira, I've got a 6 year old, and a 5 month old. Not too worried about the 6 year old, as he's in school full time, and he can keep himself busy otherwise. Now how to keep the 5 month old entertained, while I do jumping jacks for 20 mins, I have no idea :p And his naps are only 15 mins at a time, so nap time doesn't work for me.
I'm thinking just to wake up half an hour earlier than normal, which will give me time before the kids get up. I know if I don't get the exercise out of the way in the morning, there's no way it's happening later in the day.
What time do you guys find works best for you?

Firstly Khawa, I am sooo proud of you! You did it bebe and I wana see pics ok - You've seriously motivated me -
I wanted to start a workout regimen with an hour at the gym before Fajr and then maybe doing JM at night..
So days I can't go to the gym I dont have an excuse to not exercise - I just need a little push, actually more like a KICK!
But Im IN :)
