Exactly, PTI promised much more than any other party (at least in recent times). Itās about time we saw A Little Less Conversation, A Little More Action Please. I donāt care if it is country wide, or in a particular province (Punjab or KP). Itāll be a start.
PTI promises revolution, Iāll be darned happy if we got an evolution, at the very least.
If they do come into power, or don't, there is nothing you and I can do. That's for the public to decide. But I've always maintained that if they do, and can't/don't deliver, squander and loot, leave corruption and crime unchecked, I'll join you in condemning them. I'll personally join you, sachaydino, that much I promise.
I wish your dreams come true. I have never condemned IK for any reason. My criticism has always been to responses to those who display him as an angel or diety knowing that he has also committed mistakes in past. I have always said that his choice to become politician was not good. He is struggling for the last sixteen years in politics but still wandering and getting nowhere. He has not even created a team which can help him and his PTI to sail smoothly in the turbulent political environment of Pakistan. Again wish you good luck.
Fair enough. Besides my dream is not seeing Imran Khan in power, itās seeing anyone in power that can do some major good for the country. Donāt know about you or others here, but even if a lot of people here are out of Pakistan, theyāve got relatives in there. If we can stop the downward spiral the country (and we as a nation are heading towards), thatāll do. If we can start an upward journey, thatāll do real well too.
Like I said, if I had other better options Iād have voted for them (as much as I like Imran Khan). But we just donāt. Even if itās just the case of choosing the lesser most evil (which it isnāt, the others have proven to be much worst, in my opinion), give me one that is better than IK, and Iāll gladly follow you.
As for the team he puts up before the elections (no not the party team, the real guys whoāll take up reigns of the country/province), yes I am waiting for that too. And thatāll decide my vote. Iāll either vote for the one I believe that can do some good, or Iāll go to the polling station and waste my vote so it canāt be misused. Give it to the best possible candidate, or donāt give it at all.
But as Iāve always maintained, if PTI or Imran Khan canāt deliver, itās their funeral. At least, I will have a clear conscience and sleep well at night knowing that I did not follow a party, any party, to the end of us all, just because I followed my heart, and not my mind.

You do not sit idle in testing times. You get up, do your best, and leave everything in the hands of the Almighty. Even if nothing happens, you will die a satisfied man that you did whatever you could.
:k: ⦠thatās what I have been saying for a long time. But the problem is that everyone wants an angel to take over the reins of the country. They say either angel or Zardari, there arenāt willing to try a third option. And there will never be an angel to rule this country. So either try the third option, or be happy with Zardari.
Well said. One shouldnāt wait for miracles to happen. Why not be a miracle? And anyone can be one or do a miracle if they believe in doing the right things. From the people who vote to the ones that come in power. Unfortunately the ones in power donāt want to. They can, but they donāt want to. Thatās our loss as a nation.
But to expect a savior out of nowhere to fix everything with a magic wand is much too impossible an ask.
SAP bought out Business Objects, when they merged they gave people from Business Objects key positions to ensure effective merger, then they made them redundant and took over properly.
Agreed. :hinna: I frankly donāt get the criticism at all. If you want good for the country, good for Pakistan, then whatās the problem. Unless one has a corrupt mind or sinister motives, I canāt imagine someone disagreeing/criticizing when someone has good intentions and wants to bring about a change. If something good is happening, let it be, take part in it, and join the fun. Win win for everyone.
An example is our cricket team - everyone wants to be a captain. They dream about it, fantasize themselves being captain, instead of keeping an eye on and improving their performance. Same is the case with political parties and their followers. I donāt doubt the general public (and even members here), and their good intentions, but they dream about their party fixing the country. Ask anyone, and theyāll say that only their party can fix everything.
Another problem is people here donāt just follow political parties, they worship personalities. And the political parties know this fact and exploit it. So if Imran Khan has his place up for grabs and holds election on all posts in the party, that is as good a thing you and I can hope for.
So very true. I can see (or hope) PTI doing the same.

This is a very effective and political business management tactic employed by most large corporations that look to grow in a painless and efficient manner. I wish politics in Pakistan was this clean cut.
As superman is suggesting, the truth will come out. And those following blindly or with misguided passion for a personality will continue to justify whatever the results. Those that truly want good for the nation will continue to demand justice and democracy from any party in control.

If SMQ , Mian Azhar ,Hashmi and other Lotas are good people than their parties were also good , Nothing wrong there and if workers of those parties become president and voice chairman of PTI ,So we shall appreciate those parties which produce such leaders .Point of family politics doesn't apply to Ik . This is not his own choice . This is from God .
If SMQ, Mian Azhar, and Hashmi are bad people, than their leaders and their previous parties are far far worse. A 100 times worse, even a million times worse. You have a party leader and all the pathetic decisions their parties made under his/her nose, if we went by your logic, the leaders should be crucified. And if you are talking about lotas, there havenāt been bigger lotas than the leaders of the mainstream parties, as well as the people they gathered to fill their parties. And thatās not even talking about their bad policies, nepotism, supporting dictators, as well as corruption/crimes, murders even committed by these so-called leaders.
Moral of the story: If this is what you bring against Imran Khan PTI, then you should really work hard on cooking something new up. It really makes you guys look bad. Oh, and if and when PTI comes into power and does all these things, only then would you be spot on. That too is debatable, because the 64 years of Pakistan are filled with such stories. And remember, itās the leadership that counts.
Yeah, you really shouldnāt be complaining if PTI comes into power and does massive corruption and rampant crimes. Because like I said, it wonāt be anything new. And if the general population can live through the times of Nawaz, Zaradari and BB (NRO wali), then the Nawaz, Zaradari and BB walays should be prepared to live through the bad rule of PTI and Imran Khan.
Tit for that. As good as it comes. As smooth as it comes. As brilliant as it comes. Because ultimately the people will decide with their votes. And hopefully upto 45% of those people will not be fakes. This oneās worth saying again, hopefully upto 45% of those people will not be fakes.
I personally am not afraid of PTIās corruption, if it happens. Because I am sure it would be less than that of PPP.
I am actually concerned about PTIās support of extremist right wingers like Taliban, Sipahe Sahaba, and Jamat e Islami.
Remember that Imran thinks that not just Taliban themselves but even their ideology is not a threat to Pakistan!
And he thinks that war against Taliban is actually a war against Pashtuns.
