Jamaat

Re: Jamaat

agreed. it is good to follow one.

Re: Jamaat

Yup, you are right.
but most people thinks that they are expert in fiqah or deen.

Re: Jamaat

I thin kyou've got enough replies for the first part of your thread. The second part about whether your friend will change or not really depends on your friend. Is he going there because he's being forced to, or is he there because he wants to make some changes in his life?

Re: Jamaat

I couldn't have said it any better! especially the last line.

Re: Jamaat

Are you showing you are good in writing absolute rubbish? OR You seem to have a biased mind? Sure. It is proven.

Admittedly, few things may not be agreed upon by some people about them, but Tablighi Jammat has nothing to do with the absurdities you mentioned.

And I know you might come back with an example or two of incidences, still Tablighi Jamaat methods have been far from taking any danda in their hands, let alone suicide or killing acts. :smack:

P.S. Have not read the whole thread yet.

Re: Jamaat

My experience with people who are part of Jamaat (that is, Tablighi Jamat in full, not to confuse it with Jamaat-e-islami or Jamiyat) has always been good. They are the coolest people I've always come across, always there to help you, encourage you in everything good. And non of them actually failed in their professions, they always excelled. except the case where the profession itself is not good as per Islam.

Re: Jamaat

I still give our old driver a hard time because he went to he Jammat a few years ago. But there is no man I would trust my family with more. He is honest, trustworthy and doing very in his life. If only I had the power to do what he has done.

Re: Jamaat

i think its sort of get-together

Re: Jamaat

Not everyone who is close to religion is a nutjob. Most of the tableeghi jamaat people I have come across are very friendly, cooperative, learned and honest. Quite a few of them travel around the globe, and influence people with their good behaviour, morals and conduct and actually manage to convert many people to islam.

I am quite obviously not that religious myself (not that I am proud of it), but at the same time I try not to blindly declare everyone who is inclined towards religion a terrorist/fanatic/extremist etc. While religious extremism is ugly, the redneck level of bias and ignorance is not pretty either. Bigotry is ugly no matter which side of the two extremes you choose to follow.

Re: Jamaat

The only issue I would have with Jamatis is how their families are left behind to deal with things alone. But as Niksik said, these women do not have any issues with it. One woman I know...let her husband go for 4 months. When you asked her if she ever got upset at his long absences (she has three kids)...she said no. She supports him 110% and will be there when he comes home.

Its amazing.

Re: Jamaat

That's hardly a trait exclusive to the TJs though. I've seen people leaving their families for longer periods of time to work or study overseas.

Re: Jamaat

True but its common amongst them and thats my point. Sometimes its not feasible (even if the money is there) to leave your wife with three kids.

Re: Jamaat

Nope 2 or three, but what is the point of asking this ?

Re: Jamaat

omg, did someone hack into Jaanwar’s account

Like, totally fainting now. :hayaa:

Re: Jamaat

I agree with you dost, we all need to broaden our horizon, one cannot achieve anything with a narrow vision.

:smokin2:

p.s. I aint no smoker, this is a emoticon for Chill. I m chillin`

Re: Jamaat

I had only heard about and read about "True sincerity", but when I met these people, I realized that there still are selfless people alive in this world. Never would you see them collecting "chanda" or cursing even the worst people of their time. The courtesy I saw in them is rare to find these days. The list goes on...when we talk of the majority...

May Allah (swt) bless us all with such passion and love for the ways of the Prophet (saw) and Suhaba (r.a).

Re: Jamaat

I also wanted to add that they have the best weddings IMO. Nice and simple and that's where I've always had the best food.

Re: Jamaat

Although I do not agree with their philosophy but I will second your impressions. These are my impressions too.

Re: Jamaat

I agree with the crowd here. Tableeghis are very fine and great people. Very humble, nice and polite.

Re: Jamaat

I second that.
