Jadoo TV

Anyone know how to set it up? I live in an apartment and I have cable paid for by the apartment complex and it’s part of my rent. So there is no way I can get any of the Pakistani channels, otherwise I think my evenings would go by much faster w/Pakistani television.

Re: Jadoo TV

It's a streaming box, just like Roku or Apple TV. Setup is very easy. It just asks for your WiFi info. Then you can watch live tv (pretty much all the channels but geo and ary, that come and go).

They also have a tablet with jadoo app. That app is not available elsewhere so tablet must be bought from them. I am interested to get some reviewes of that tablet here. If worth it, I like to buy for my mom.

Re: Jadoo TV

I just got it for my parents. Its working pretty good, all the channels are in pretty good quality surprisingly. Easy to set up. But like every few years, they start removing channel so the box becomes obsolete and then start selling new box and call it Jadoo4 or Jadoo5 where you will get the same channel you used to. Its money making

Oh and i have no idea about tablet, but I doubt it would be iPad or samsung quality

Re: Jadoo TV

I have Jadoo 2, I think. I agree with your that it's a pretty decent box.

Jadoo tablet is an 8 inch Android tablet. Yes it's not a name brand, so definitely not worth as a tablet. Just want to know if app is worth that investment

Re: Jadoo TV

Jadoo 2 or Jadoo too?

Re: Jadoo TV

If you want to watch Hum TV, get a PS4, plug it into your TV, watch all the episodes in HD through the youtube channel. That's what I do. It is so easy and effective. No time schedule constraints too. If u miss an episode, i watch it in HD online. Full episode.

Re: Jadoo TV

how often do they make a box obsolete?
should I expect to shell out $150 every year or couple of years or what?

Re: Jadoo TV

We've had Jadoo-4 for about a year and half and so far going well. They dont release a new box every year, might be more like every 3 years or so.

Re: Jadoo TV

don't be surprised if these boxes stop working all of a sudden, or ask u to upgrade to latest.

shava was one of these, it stopped working for everyone. Besides, i heard jadoo is slow and commercials play before everything.
even changing a channel means another commercial.

Re: Jadoo TV

A friend of mine has Jadoo 4 and they don't have any of the issues that you're describing.

Re: Jadoo TV

Got Jadoo 4 last night cuz I was sick of streaming cricket matches. First impression is that it looks cool, atleast PTV sports is coming thru HD1. Tried surfing some other pakistani channels and their resolution looked aweful. But I guess i dont have a taste of them either way so i dont care.
The air-mouse was a bit sensitive. The pointer kept jumping on the main menu so when i was clicking "jadoo live", it was opening netflix :D

In the end it all depends upon what you want to watch. If you have enough time and know what you want to watch, 150 bucks is not much to lose.

Re: Jadoo TV

every year they come up with new box, soon jadoo 5?

Re: Jadoo TV

Its probably not going to be new version every year since now they've started playing Ads. They have to generate revenue somehow and playing Ads is a reasonable option (which they didnt have back in Jadoo 1 and 2 days). At $150 per box, its still considerably cheaper than getting cable, which can easily run you 60-70 bucks a month.

Re: Jadoo TV

trash box - always something wrong with it.

Jadoo TV

Whenever a new device comes out old will stop working and you'll not get support too. That's why I bought Amazon Fire TV Stick ($40) it goes on TV's HDMI port then I installed Kodi and now I am enjoying watching not only cricket but all Pakistani and Indian channels. If you don't want Fire TV Kodi is available for other OS, like you can install on Windows machines.

Re: Jadoo TV

People still have Jadoo TV? lol I moved on to Fire TV a long time ago.

Re: Jadoo TV

So you are going to make someone get a PS4 to watch Humtv through Youtube on TV? LOL! You could access Youtube virtually through any box or if you have a smart TV you won't even need that.

Re: Jadoo TV

Isnt hum TV channel on youtube paid? Not that i watch but You know im a bigger mufta than anyone

Re: Jadoo TV

I feel so dumb when it comes to kodi. Either I don't know what I am doing, or the user interface is so complicated that I was never able to figure out how to watch Pakistani channels or any other channel of my choice

Re: Jadoo TV

You can not stream live channel on Kodi...
