Jadoo Tv anyone?

Has anyone tried Jadoo Tv? It’s essentially a box sold in north america which simply needs to be hooked with the internet and any display screen (like tv or your laptop) and it displays most Pakistani Channels and on demand stuff and youtube. An uncle of mine got it a couple of months back and loved it but i dunno if the standard has been maintained. any reviews???

Re: Jadoo Tv anyone?

Sounds great - I love Pak TV. Is it available elsewhere?

Re: Jadoo Tv anyone?

Its nothing... I installed it for one person who was willing to have it... it looks like they are broadcasting some free web links to their decoders and those channels are not even worth watching.

Re: Jadoo Tv anyone?

I heard Jadoo tv is illegal and if u get caught the goverment might fine u

^^ yup.. though there are “more” illegal things going on.. Jadoo TV is just more hyped.

There is something called “card sharing” that works just awesome untill you get a letter from ISP or Police !:woho:

Yes that's what I heard as well. They didn't get proper licensing from the channels which have threatened legal action, therefore most channels have been taken down.
So after reading alot of reviews, I recently decided to get Jump-Tv's desi sister company tv-desi. They are the largest voiptv in canada and are a reliable company

It also comes as a box as well as online tv. I am paying $15 a month and get 7 channels including humtv, businessplus, Aaj,MTV and Indus Plus. The quality of channels is pretty good. So far i am pretty happy with it, been watching malal as it airs live in pakistan which is pretty kick ass:)

Re: Jadoo Tv anyone?

Check this, it syas all

jadoo tv channel list

Re: Jadoo Tv anyone?

Better to be an honest John and just pay your due for these channels. The channels are not producing their programming for you to just watch it for free. They need to feed their employees too.

Re: Jadoo Tv anyone?

i heard that u only pay for installation of this box and then youcan show's for free for the rest of your life. Is it true

I think you didn't read my follow up post. I got jump-tv, which is completely legal and the largest voip company in canada

Re: Jadoo Tv anyone?

u guys got wrong info about jadoo..... in canada air time is free....warna dish network boxes are sold here for such a long time. and no one said anything. plus it comes from USA. if it was illegal, i am sure the 1000s of boxes which are shipped here, werent be able to go through. we all know how crazy americans are about security.
the free offer is not for lifetime.... they might MIGHT change things around. but ya right now its just the box payment. and u need a good internet package....

Re: Jadoo Tv anyone?

Re: Jadoo Tv anyone?

Hello everyone,
First review for a Desi community…I’m a desi myself btw.
I’ve bought my JadooTV 2 a few days ago and this is what I’ve noticed so far…
Equipment I’m using with Jadoo TV:
Pakistani/Indian channels are coming in okay. For few channels, quality is not acceptable but for the most channels quality is okay to sharp granted that I have a high tech HD Sony LCD 40” Bravia XBR7 TV and I’m using Onkyo TX SR705 receiver (which converts most streaming videos/media to 1080p or close to that quality) but still I think some of the channels quality is not acceptable. Resolution is also a little bit issue on a 40” LCD but can be manage in your TV settings and/or Jadoo TV box under settings.
I think for the most part, I’m happy with JadooTV 2 HD. One thing I have noticed if you connect to your wireless network it is slow and you will see more buffering prompts and if you connect with CAT5 network cable then you might not see that much of buffering messages. However, there is no escaping from it. You'll see buffering regardless of what kind of connection you have. I don’t have a N router. I have a G Linksys wireless router but my Jadoo TV is connected to my router directly (Wired connection).

Price and Connection Speed:
I’ve bought my JadooTV 2 for $263.00 out the door from eBay and it worked out nicely.
My connection speed is 10Mbps (download speed) and I have a cable connection.
Setup and Customer Service Experience:
I have not had any customer service experience because setup was a piece of cake. All you have to do is register your Jadoo TV on their website and start using it right away. Not a complicated process. It is very easy and user friendly.
Movies and Other Media Quality:
I think Jadoo TV paid more attention to quantity verses quality. However, any Bollywood movie you can think of, it has it but again quality is not that great. Few movies are okay quality but not great. I’ve tested few old releases like 3idiots thinking it is a couple of years old and Jadoo TV might offer an original print but I was disappointed and quality was VCD. New movies are not of a great quality either but it has all the new movies you can think of like I have mentioned above. I’d still be renting it on DVDs as I usually don’t like pirated movies anyways.
Bottom Line: A Great buy but with a twist. It offers a little bit for everyone. You should/must have a high speed Internet connection (around 5-10Mbps download). Channels can go in and out on a daily to hourly basis. One minute you have a channel and the next minute it’s gone but over all since they are so focused on quantity, I doubt that you will be bored. For the most part they have great selections of Pakistani/Indian channels. As a Cricket fan, I like it. You can watch all the Cricket matches including World Cup, T20 etc.
Hope it helps!

Re: Jadoo Tv anyone?

HI all,
WE just got Jaadoo recently for cricket world cup. WE still have t/ dish thru which we get limited Pakistani channels thru thr package deals which includes HUM, TV1, GEO, ARY,DAWN, etc.

THru Jaadoo we get many more Pakistani channels plus evrything is live. All t/ talk shows, dramas, whatever thr showing in Pakistan, we get to thm in t/ USA or anywhere in t/ world. I' prtty sure thr legal, u pay a one time price for t/ tiny box itself. Buffering is a problem, as is t/ quality vs. t/ dish tho.

Don't watch bollywood or Indian channels so not an issue for us:)

Re: Jadoo Tv anyone?

we have jadoo tv for worldcup.the quality is good and now i can watch all the good drama's on HUM,GEO,ARY:)instead od watching them online:)so far we are liking it.

Re: Jadoo Tv anyone?

Got it recently to watch the world cup matches, quality isnt that great since its streaming the channels through the internet, also depends on how fast your internet connection is, it might lag and disconnect often. and yes its definitely not legal, so whenever the channels find out that they are on jadoo stream they scramble the connection so its not reliable, was watching geo super (sports channel) for one of the matches and they went off air the last 20 crucial mins of the match, oh well, taught me not to be a cheapskate and pay for dish network instead.

Re: Jadoo Tv anyone?

I´m using JalvaTv Box is similar to jadoo

Re: Jadoo Tv anyone?

Please dont.

Dont make such claims for self-justification. As if using something illegal is not enough people try to justify it as legal

and no “oh everyone is using it and and no one is getting caught” does not make it legal.

no matter how much I am pissed off on high subscription of these chanel, equation is pretty simple if you are watching stations like GEO, AAJ, ARY, Pay per view etc without paying monthly subscription to Dish Network or Direct TV or Rogers or Bell or TV Desi or some other cable company, its Ilegal.

Re: Jadoo Tv anyone?

Well Jadoo TV might not be 100 % legal, but so is most of the music u have on ur iphones, Bit Comit AND Kaza e.t.c

Re: Jadoo Tv anyone?

My friends in Canada are very happy with Jadoo TV
