i thought when u use internet, ur internet costs go up coz ur bandwidth usage will go up. isn't it? if u pay extra to Rogers for usage then how is it illegal?

Canadians r happy with anything they get. Vine, Beer, French, Jadoo TV....So they dont count.

in fact sub sai ziada menhnat tu Dako kerta hai , ratoon ko jagna, jan kokhoon main dalna etc etc

as I said "everyone is doing it", does not make it legal.

Problem is that we have brought the bar of corruption/illegal acts so down that we dont care/notice these things and that "we" includes myself too. We cry foul on politicians every single day that they have done corruption in millions. Well they have done it in millions because they can. Hamara bus ilegal cable, illegal music/movies, tax choree tak hee chalta hai, so we do corruption to our own capacity.

Well, it was around 2 yrs back when we first discussed it in the family whether to get it or no, and at that time most ppl were of opinion that its illegal, it’ll shut down very soon, channels are sueing them.. etc. And now after two years not only its still in the market but its price and number of consumers both have increased. Very recently one of my friends got it for worldcup, and he’s loving it. I pay a lot of money to dish network every month for just a few desi channels, and now i’m getting sick of their nakhra and very seriously thinking to switch to jadoo. :chai:

WE chked into it & as did most of our friends & to t/ best of our knowledge it is legal. Dont accuse me of stuff I wud never even of think of even in my daily life!.

You get a service (entertainment/news from a set of channels) and you don't pay any revenue that lands in their account, then you're STEALING their stuff.

Definition of stealing.

And if it's not illegal, that's ok, we can have it arranged to be illegal.

those "oh everyone..." comments were not directed towards you. I preempted that as this is the reply I get 80% of the time.

and take my words its NOT legal. You want to find out "to the best of your knowledge" ? just call GEO USA tomorrow and ask them if Jadoo is legal or not. Dont take "friends" or "Jadoo Reseller's" words on this.

For example, lets take GEO. Let me make it simple for you. Territorial rights for GEO in USA are with DISH NETWORK and in CANADA its with ROGERS. Internet streaming rights for GEO are with Jump-TV/TV-DESI. So if you are in USA or CANADA and if you watch GEO by ANY OTHER MEANS (be it box or internet), you are watching it Illegally.

Now I totally agree that above mentioned companies charge arm & leg for these channels and they should bring the package price down but that does not mean....

lol yeh is thread pe kya discussion ho rahi hai...mujhe laga jadoo tv koi naya channel hai aur uske programs discuss kiye ja rahe hain.

Jadoo TV Box is made in china. jadoo owners are in USA. from USA it comes to canada. if it was illegal. the customs would have stopped it the first time.
everytime these boxes come from china to usa, and then usa to canada... they are checked and questioned. they come in HUGA bulks. not in suitcases.

The channels on them are taken from internet streams. and they are there to WATCH!!... the only difference is that you dont watch them on your computer, but on your TV. its as simple as that.

we have it, and i love it,, so many channels, can watch latest bolly-movies, watch youtube clips etc.
the downside would be that its connected with the internet so whenever there is something wrong with the network the channels wont work.. i hate it when im watching some film/programme and then all of a sudden it stops uurghh.. but otherwise im happy with it

WTH??? All t/ channels have been taken down. On JAADOO's website it says not to contact thm. WAH Kiya baat hay!!!

I miss my live Muskurati Mornings w/ Faisal! I wish TV1 wud show it live like they do on EXPRESS & DAWN, thr mornings are coming live in t/ US.

Jadoo tv has been the topic of every desi meeting due to this worldcup craze going on. I think its still handy. We see streaming too from internet, why not see it through jadoo.

IF it is illegal, why wait t/ week I watch it? Anyway, AAJ & othr channels r- coming thru, but I want TV 1 LIVE which these idiots are not showing on DISH as HUM, EXPRESS & DAWN are showing. Problem is I dont want watch thm! WE are paying for TV1 also just get crappy recorded shows. Is say achay to HUM? XPRESS & DAWN hain in this matter! So much for paying $80 bux a month. USELESS!

its down for maintenance.... will be up again... and if u go on the website.. you will see that all channels are up again.

Some channels have been removed at the request of content providers. Please do not call Jadoo support regarding this.

i think that pretty much says it all, whenever they are threatened with a danda they remove the channels because they are streaming the channels without paying for any rights to do so and when they get caught they have to get them down. chori aur seena zori that should be jadoo tv’s motto :hehe:
