**Radical Jew Israeli terrorist who killed innocent girl has been cleared. **

The Israeli army has cleared an officer accused of repeatedly firing into the lifeless body of a young Palestinian girl of “unethical” behaviour.

But the officer remains suspended for poor relations with subordinates.

An inquiry began after soldiers told the story of 13-year-old Iman al-Hams’s death to the media, provoking an outcry among many Israelis.

Hundreds of Palestinian children have been killed by Israeli troops during the Palestinian uprising or intifada.

Shooting at the floor

The killing of Palestinian civilians does not always make much news in Israel. And it is unusual for the army to launch an investigation into the circumstances of such incidents, says the BBC’s James Reynolds in Jerusalem.

Without revealing their identities, soldiers from the Givati brigade platoon told Israeli television how their officer sprayed Iman al-Hams with automatic gunfire on 5 October in the Tel Sultan neighbourhood of Rafah - a restricted area near Gaza’s border with Egypt.

The investigation did not find that the company or the company commander had acted unethically

“We saw her from a distance of 70m. She was fired at … from the outpost. She fled and was wounded,” a soldier said.

While Iman was lying, wounded or dead, about 70m from the Israeli guard post, the platoon commander approached her and fired two bullets from close range at her head, the soldiers said.

He then went back a second time, put his weapon on the automatic setting and - ignoring their objections on the walkie-talkie - emptied his entire magazine into her body.

But the army says it accepts the commander’s claim that he fired into the ground near the girl after coming under fire in a dangerous area.

It has not explained why the officer shot into the ground rather than at the source of the fire.

“The investigation did not find that the company or the company commander had acted unethically,” an army statement said.

“The investigation concluded that the behaviour of the company commander from an ethical point of view does not warrant his removal from his position.”

But the investigation criticised the officer’s leadership abilities.

“Due to these failures the company commander was suspended from his position, and his future career [in the army] will be decided upon in the course of the next week,” the statement said.

The least they could have done was to make the platoon commander reimburse the cost of bullets he fired at the "ground". Such a waste.

If God gave this land to Israel, then why did it take them thousands of years to find it? It only became Israel as we know it since 1948, and that was thanks to America. So are we saying that America is your God. No need to answer, as there are no prizes for the correct answer!

You are right. The Palestinians will struggle to cope in the first instance if Israel were to withdraw from Gaza. However, what you conveniently forgot to add in your one sided analogy as is always the case with you and your fellow Gupsters in your neck of the woods, is that when one is set up to fail from the inset, you cannot find a resolve overnight. Furthermore, the decade of direct and indirect damage to Palestines infrastructure has been enormous. This has been measuerd and calculated by Israel backed up by the USA. The Palestinians have not been receiving $3 billion a year in funds from your darlings USA in order to stockpile, trade and benefit it's citizens. This is the the big difference.

Additonally, each time a resolution is tabled via the UN to deal with Israel for it's actions, USA vetoes it. Therefore, USA and Israel deserve everything they get.

Perhaps that cliche could be used to describe why the Palestinians are in the dire straits they are. They could have compromised back in 1947 instead of pursuing a holy war against Israel from day one. As OG said, the Palestinians share responsiblility for their own predicament and so does the ummah which has pursued the wrong policies (or nothing) to help them.

You couldn't even compromise with a regime half way across the world which wasn't even affecting you, let alone near you.

The Palestinains chose not to compromise, and in retrospect that may not have been a good decsion. They may be revered in the Muslim world for their willingness to fight without surrender, but they have ended up without a civil society, with corrupt leaders, with violent dead-end factions, facing down a superior military force daily. Now this may seem like the ultimate Jihad to you, but it appears as just butt stupid to me. If they had compromised 30 years ago, they may have had a blossoming society, peace, safety for their kids, employment, infrastructure, and a land with far fewer Jewish settlements.

So 30 years ago they were saying "What have we got to lose"? And today we see that they have lost land lost lives and lost opportunity. The Muslim world reveres them because they are stubborn. Unfortunately virtually no one would revere them as wise. They have made 50 years of stubborn miscalcualtions and they never seem to learn and they continue to make the same mistakes over and over and over.

Now don't get me wrong, at this point the Israeli's are about as brutal as your can get. But economically, socially and as a society they have won this conflict. The Palestinians have lost. The territories are trashed. Unemployment is at 50%, and the major employer, Israel, is building a wall to insure that Palestinains will not have access to the Israeli economy.

Well for all our American friends (and others) who still are convinced of the Israeli desire for anything other than Eretz Israel (grater Israel) here you have it. Spelled out ever more clearly that there is no retreating from Palestinian lands conquered in 1967. There is no space for a separate Palestinan state. We’ve known this all along - so have the various American administrations, but hey there’s no need for justice or opposing the zionist entity, after all it is a DEMOCRATIC set up!!! Remember democracy means one can flout international norms, conventions, treaties at will.

The good thing about you my friend is that you always hit the nail on it's head, without even realising it.

Of course Israel is in a better position than Palestine both econimocally and socially. They have been funded and supported by the US since her creation. What do you expect? Come on now, you don't have to be a rocket scientist to work this one out? We can call Israel Little America here.

Palestine has been here for centuries and have survived come rain or sunshine. Israel on the other hand, has only survived for 50 odd years due to substantial support from the US both in terms of Finance, Trade and Military Arsenal. If we were to turn the tables and fund Palestine in order to defend itself and make a better quality of life for it's citizens, not only would Israel not be able to cope but would be wiped off the face of the Earth. History confirms this. Remember, Israel couldn't survive or cope until 1948.

They couldn't even keep a country which was personally hand delivered to them by God after years of wandering the plains!
