is that true that jamaat khana of isamaili have become more like a dating points.
as few of my friends who are agha khani's told me that first time they met their girl friends at the jamaat khana ..............
thats fascinating ....................
These are terrible comments Mev.
Especially against one of our minority groups, if we use sexual or other derogatory comments, it reflects on us the majority in Pak.
Simply terrible.
and Shameful!
Jamaat Khana should be respected as a sacred place just like the places for other religions (as long as they are not the source of terror and lawlessness).

I hope you post an apology soon!
do u think i m joking ?
i was shocked to hear that .............. relegious place shud not be used for such kind of purpose.
i dont want to offend the relegious susceptibilty of urs so make a minor change in my post reply.
LOL I don't even agree with Maverick with what he says half the time but he can ask what he wants. He is asking YOU why this is happening, and if it is becoming common in all jamaat khaanas. This thread is for us to ask questions, and you're just going to fight him off? Pathetic.
Imam Khomeini did not receive any message from Imam Mahdi to guide us. Some people may have seen Imam Mahdi in a dream and talked with him but in Ghaibat Al Kubra, NOBODY is in connection with the Imam, besides Allah (swt). The Ayatullah's we have interpret the laws through the Qur'aan and ahadith. Just like you said Jamaat khaanas as 'dating points' are rubbish, what you said about Ayatullah Khomeini is rubbish as well.
ok, fair enough... if no human is in real connection wid imam mehdi, then what's the difference between 12ers and sunnis??? i mean, u said that The Ayatullah's interpret the laws through the Qur'aan and ahadith. sunnis also hav ulema who do the exact same job.. well if u say Ayatullahs interpret the quran correctly then why was there religious unrest (even amongst muslims) in iran after the islamic revolution??why were ppl killed even when the Ayatullah was the supreme leader and how can he allow this if he's the true interpretor of quran and hadith??

well, i don't know about the cities but if this happened in a jamat khana of my village, God knows what terrible things are gonna happen to those who go to jamat khana to see girls..
let me tell u all a true incident.. a moulvi was caught having sex wid a young boy in a madrassa located within a masjid (sunni to be exact).. but that only happens in a few places.. that doesn't mean we should think that it happens in all masjids(nauzobillah) which is a very holy place for all muslims even if they don't belong to the particular sect which the madrassa belonged to....
so the bottom line is that it happens everywhere irrespective of religion or creed.. it doesn't mean we have to generalize the whole community because of a few incidents..

yaar as i mentioned before, i've already answered his question somewhere in the thread and i've answered it again... when did i try to fight him off??? i just said it's not my responsibility to catch every lafanga on the street..

Mosques, temples, churches, Imambargahs, synagogues etc. etc. are places of worship AND community centers.
Meeting a potential mate can happen in a community center. Friendships develop when people meet for one reason or the other.
Why are so shocked?
We the majority religionists should be careful as not stereotype minorities and especially their places of worship.
If you or someone starts slandering Ismailies, then next someone will do the same about Shias, and the list goes on and on.
How would we feel if someone said that every mosque of ours trains suicide bombers? Just because they caught "potential terrorists" with links to a mosque?

Ayatullah Khomeini throughout his life was majorly known for the Islamic Revolution. Ayatullah Khoei was the prominent marja at the time who was residing in Iraq. The killings occured because the followers of the Shah were still in Iran, they all did not flee from the revolution.

ok fine.. blame the killings on the Shah.. even though ismaili refugees from iran told me that their family members were killed by the ayatollah's regime ppl but i will still give u the benefit of the doubt... let me ask another simple question.. why did the ayatollah declare a particular sect ( i am not sure but i think it were the wahabis) as non- muslims??? don't we know that huzoor (S.A.W) and all imams were against such fatwas???
LOL this thread is funny.. The ismaili guy who started this thread is trying HARD to give a good image of agha khan.. But agha's evil is wide spread and all know about him and his western life style..I find it really funny for people who believe that he can be in anyway an islamic leader..lolzz.. Good.. keep it up good boy.. I feel pity for you..

There are the good and bad of every people. Just because one is a lover of Ayatullah Khomeini doesn't mean he/she is pure and is a good person overall. We are both Muhib's but we both sin.
Wahhabis are literally the worst people ever. Such puppets.

i know, but how can Ayatollah, i light of quran and haidth, declare them non-muslims.. i mean even Huzoor (S.A.W) didn't declare munafiqeen as kafir coz they had recited the kalima.. H (S.A.W) even said the janaza prayers for abdullah bin ubbay (whom we all know was the sardar of munafiqeen)... so my point is, how can you say that the ayatollah's can lead the faithfuls and be hujjat to imam mehdi when he contradicts the teachings of the previous imams..

Did he call them kafirs or munafiqeen? In my opinion, maybe everybody's, munafiqeen are worse than kafir's. Show me where Ayatullah Khomeini said so. No Ayatullah today says that they are kafir.

i feel pity for ur ignorance it is remarkable how this guy has had patience n given each n every ones answer correctly.Clearly this thread is not to convert ppl but educate them about the truth but jahil/ignorant ppl like u who already come with a mind set cuz they heard false statements from 3-4 other people n made a conclusion in their heads have no place in this thread to even comment. You have valid point in ur head against ismailis than state it otherwise get lost cuz ull live ur whole life as an ignorant and one day die as an ignorant and ull be answerable to Allah for judging his believers wrongly..!
I am An Ismaili an my day day starts with Surah al Fatiha and then Allah hu Akbar Tasbih along with other Allah's Names...this is an example of the teachings of my sect, this is what was taught to me when we went for our madrasa. The first story as a nursery student we learnt was Allah is everywhere and how a boy hides something but he realised that he can hide anything anywhere but never hide from Allah. All I have learnt from my sect has always been about our one & only god Allah. Even after all this there are people who think of us as Non-muslims just cuz we have an imam who is a great humanitarian as well a leader who time-to-time gives us 'farman' relevant to the world but clearly derived from the Quran than theres no answer that i or this guy can give to satisfy ur souls in that case we'll all just have to wait till the day of judgment. I cant sit here n go back in history to prove im a Muslim..I can Just tell u what we believe in,these maybe simple examples but this is what faith is.I believe in Shahadah and other 4 pillors (Salah,Swam,Zakat & Hajj) of Islam and I am a Muslim First than an Ismaili.
Summary Of A farman Our Imam Gave In LA in recent times
He started the Farman by telling the Jamat to have a big smile on their faces and to have this smile of happiness all day long. He said smile with happiness; smile for your family; smile for unity and He used so many lines to tell us to smile always. He acknowledged the wonderful work done by the volunteers and gave His best blessings. He thanked the Governor of California and with the help his state had been able to assist with the arrangements of His visit to California. He was so happy on how he was welcomed by the Governor of California and he also thanked them for working with our Jamat in making this trip possible.Hazar Imam then talked about the slowing down of the economy and He said this was not only applying to the USA but also to other parts of the world. He said this called for some measures the Jamat must take in ensuring they are not hit too hard with this economic slow down. He sad that this called for being cautious on how we handle our resources; to be prudent and to be aware that so many countries were going through crises but we would have to handle this economic slow down.Hazar Imam said Life has its challenges but we should still look forward to the future with optimism. This was a bad time for some countries particularly where democratic practices have changed and in other places where people are facing many problems. He said that it may take some time to get these countries back to its normal state and there is always hope.Hazar Imam then touched upon the Best Practice method used in the Western World. It was so important during this economic slow down to work unitedly with individuals who are in the same profession as us but by joining resources, it would help tremendously to get through this economic slow down.He then referred to the way that Islam is being interpreted and the misunderstanding people have about Islam. He said that we should explain what Islam is and the ethics of our faith but if the person does not understand, He said “Let it Go”. Do not get over-emotional.Hazar Imam talked about the regular practice of our faith. Regular attendance in Jamatkhana is good but that is not the only thing that is important. The remembrance and awareness of our faith should be with us every moment of the day. Even if we spend 20 seconds in remembering our faith as often as we can, it is considered as an act of prayer. Hazar Imam said it so well “You have a Tasbih – take your Tasbih and call Allah, call Hazrat Ali and call Prophet Muhammad and this remembrance of our faith and being conscious of the presence of Allah in our daily lives is the true meaning of Islam. We should have our faith on our minds at all times and that is through the remembrance of our faith.Hazar Imam then touched upon the ethics of our faith and that we must not forget the ethics of our faith. The ethics of generosity, kindness, of sharing, assisting those who come to you for help. Not only to those whom you know but even outside the community. If someone comes for help, give them the assistance they need.Hazar Imam then continued that be loyal to your faith; always be truthful in your daily lives – our faith is one of peace, of kindness, of humility. He then talked about social habits which are damaging to one’s health and He really stressed that we should stay away from these habits which would be detrimental to our health. The second objective was that He wants to eradicate poverty from this world. He does not like to hear the word “poor” and He knows there are so many of our murids who are living a very poor quality of life. He said the conditions are so bad in so many countries where the living conditions must be improved so that the murids can have a good quality of life. He said it might take a couple of generations but this initiative will start in this Golden Jubilee Year as in many countries, our murids live in extreme poverty. His third objective was (and he said Alhamdullilah), longevity or life span has increased for individuals and people now live much longer than they used to. This affects the aged whom He is very concerned about. He wants to ensure that the aged do not lose their dignity. He wants to ensure the aged are well looked after so that they also live a good quality of life. Hazar Imam then gave best blessings to the youth to succeed in their education. He said that there are so many opportunities for good, educated individuals in so many parts of the world – not just in the USA or Canada or Australia or New Zealand but also in the developing world. He said the youth should strive to have a good sound education to access all these opportunities that existed in the developing world.Hazar Imam gave best blessings for good health, prosperity, long lives, unit in the family, lots of barakat, for mushkilasan and that ALL our wishes be fulfilled, Ameen. He also gave His best blessings for souls of all ruhani members and prayed for their eternal peace. He once again told us that although He may not be with us physically but He will remember the face of every murid present here and also those who have not been able to attend. He said “You are always in my heart, every one of you and in my prayers. I am with you ALL THE TIME.

he gave smile to ppl n thnked to govt of california,,,, but wht abt Qirat or tareef of Allah subhanatallah n our beloved PropheT((SAW).it is well known that any farman or any debate or discussion or speech is start by praising Allah n his habib(SAW).did he make u ppl aware of fazail of MOHUMMAD N ALE MUHAMMAD N ASHABE MUHAMMAD???b coz its a strong beleive of whole muslim ummah that widout doing tareef of Allah n his habib(SAW) n ale habib(SAW) no dua is qabool n no farman is complete :).n if he do tilawat of quran thn tell me wht ayat from which surah he picked b4 his farman.
n yes i can't find any impressive thing in this farman .i think fridays qutba n a new zakir speech is more spiritual n impresive thn this . every body is emphasizing for high qualification n for peace n prosperity.thats is something which is always been asked to do frm ours elders so nothing new in this farman .go n read sermons, letter ,duas,n saying of Prophet(saw) n imam Ali(as) imam hassan(as) ,imam hussain(as), imam zainul abedeen(as) imam mohd baqir(as), imam muse kazim(as) ,immali raza (as),imam taqi ul hadi(as) imam naqi(as) imam hassan askari (as)n imam mahdi (AS) n thn see ur imam farman u 'll find gr8 diff . why he roams in developing country why dont in poor country n miggle himself as common man in order to feel the same pain ppl have .
why ur imam is so impressed by western methodolgy who r kafirs n munkir why not they imply n focuss on one which is given by our PROPHET(saw) n Ali(AS).why not focussing on islamic studies along wid other studies.i can't see any islamic scholar wid in u .who can guide u according to Quran n sunnah.
oh for god sake if u want to find something wrong ull surely find something to say negtive..my god here muslims are fighting with each other point some way small or big thing to prove that our imam is going wrong someway…firstly this is a summary its not exactly what he said n one thousand times he mentioned of the faith n islam but u couldnt see that ignoring ALL that he has said u read what he dint say…OPEN YOUR EYES PEOPLE! stop finding mistakes in everything..this was to prove that no way tht aga khnais/ismailis are non muslims n neither do we pray to our imam cuz he himself prays to Allah which is written in his farman that we are in his prayers always.besides this farman was made when the financial crisis hit n people were worried so if u see his farman was directed towards economical problems n how to maintain ur faith in all this.u want me to listen to hadith and read Quran and listen to Prophets sayings?..just to inform u we know them very well cuz in our madrasa we are taught everything, we go there atleast twice a week n like school we get formal education and have exams too.Our highest priority is learning about our religion Islam. Im a girl who studied Islam in school as i live in an arab country, i also had a maulvi to come home n teach me Quran and further used to go to madrasas too n never did i find any variation in the teaching…all taught me the same thing!
All the ignorant people out there some day ask any one of ur ismaili frnds that u guys talk about so much to show u the tareeqa books that we follow ull feel stupid for judging other Muslim brothers n sisters this way! when the worlds been falling apart n all fingers are being pointed at muslims for blame n a time where we should be together we are so busy telling each other the diffrences..they will divide us n rule n we like idiots will help them do so!
p.s to answer ur doubt before any farman starts everyone recites “Allah huma saleh ala Muhammad wala alhehi Muhammad” atleast a thousand times!
My Imam goes to frequently and has made hospitals, houses, roads, universities in Gilgit-Baltistan,Chitral ,Eshkashem

ok let me tell you that every deedar of imam is started by a sura.. it was suran al-noor when imam(A.S) was in atlanta on 17th april 2008... i was there.. and also, at the end of every farman, imam(A.S) says that he will pray for us.. pray to who?? of course Allah Almighty... doesn't just this show his humility?? he says he will pray for us coz if Allah doesn't want, even the imam can't grant anything..
