Islamic state and tolerance...

Re: Islamic state and tolerance...

If the west really sincere in promoting 'democracy' in the world then why west is supporting the rulers who cannot even allow democracy in their countries?

The interest is not to spread democracy my dear. Its the biggest media weapon which is used to make anyone feel bad if 'democracy' does not exist in a prticular country. We know if 'democracy' comes to the muslims countries...people will have power and it will be difficult to buy the whole parliment or a politician. So its logical to have a military guy or a king who can be bought without much hassel.

Re: Islamic state and tolerance...

Deedawar...
Bro the way i see it...they have their little puppets there at the moment and dont implement democracy...and this is becuase the people havent been integrated enough as yet...through their puppets they are trying to slowly bring up their ideas and trying to convince the masses of their ideas...

If the masses in Muslim countries start to believe the American way...then it is ok to implement democracy...

However the problem they are facing is that Muslims are not like the Japanese and arent so easily diverted from their original ideology...and arent accepting American values...so naturally they need their military dickriders who will suppress these people...

This is how the Americans are losing at the moment becuase they rule lands which dont want to be ruled by them...

And this is the beginning of the fall...

Re: Islamic state and tolerance…

Bro, Khilafah was finished only after 4-5th Khalifah, it was kingdom, greed for land and money after that… ‘spreading’ Islam was an excuse and a “side profit”, “Islam” is not (ab)used by current so-called mullahs, its been part of a long history.

Re: Islamic state and tolerance…

Khalifah degenerated into monarchy…whatever. Fact is, you had huge territories under some kind of federation. That is the more important aspect of the Khalifah that isn’t finished…and in fact, if people get off this retarded nationalist band wagon, it could very well be a reality.

Re: Islamic state and tolerance…

the most important fact was that sharia was still implemented fully. individual cases of corruption were common yes, but the system was islamic and it was reasonable to assume that justice would be served even for the poor. the lives and honor of people were protected.

Re: Islamic state and tolerance…

Offensive Jihad is not without reason, or simply for it’s own sake.

At least, such was the case during the time of the nobel four caliphs (using Persia and Byzantium as an example)…

Re: Islamic state and tolerance…

sure, try telling that to the Armenians. 150 MILLION of them were killed by muslims turks in the last years of the Ottoman Empire.

Re: Islamic state and tolerance…

Let me understand…
you mean first ‘American way’ and then Democracy?

So what is ‘American way’?

Re: Islamic state and tolerance…

what made you think i consider the ottoman dynasty to be a khilafah?
i think khilafah basically ended when mongols invaded baghdad. maybe it continued on for a little longer, but the ulama i talked to dont consider ottomans to be khilafah, but just a dynasty.

Re: Islamic state and tolerance…

may be it was a typo? 150 million is a large number, the link you wrote says 1.5 mil.

Re: Islamic state and tolerance…

What the hell are you talking about? The number bandied about is typically close to 1.5 million. And then, let us not forget about the counter genocide against the Turks…

Re: Islamic state and tolerance...

Deedawar...
They want the Muslims believing man to be their ruler...not Allah...

Re: Islamic state and tolerance...

^ Got it. Thanks.:)

Re: Islamic state and tolerance...

//what made you think i consider the ottoman dynasty to be a khilafah?//

Different people have different perception about when the khilafah actually ended. If the khilafah was such a fantastic system of governance it (the breakdown) would have been a major watershed in history. Forget about historians, hardcore jehadis dont actually agree on when it ended. My simple question If it was a systemn directed bygod, why did it fail...

Re: Islamic state and tolerance...

// individual cases of corruption were common yes, but the system was islamic //

Wah !!! what a statement...

Re: Islamic state and tolerance…

150 million :bukbuk: yeah ok then i guess by your wierd calculations 150000 million turks died to then :smack2:

Re: Islamic state and tolerance…

According to God’s laws, people should not murder. Yet they do. That’s hardly a failure of the law.

Re: Islamic state and tolerance...

Rashguy...

Human beings are flawed and as such will make individual mistakes...however the system applied should be Islamic...or should be based upon Islam...

There were times where Islam was misapplied but this was due to poor decisions by scholars...the basis for decision was still Islam hence the state was still Islamic...

I for one believe the Ottoman Dynasty to be the last Khaleefah and Mustapha Kemal to be the one to overthrow it...

As for your question as to why Allah brought it down...thats down to him...he let it happen...obviously the people themselves were misguided and were running a poor empire but Allah allowed it to fall...and in the same way Allah expects us to restore it...the result of which is in his hands...

Re: Islamic state and tolerance...

^ You have answered my question in a very beautiful manner. Though I dont agree with you on the points, I am impressed by the manner in which you have expressed yourself.

Flattering words apart ...

Do you really believe that Islam has an answer to all the ills plaguing the modern society. There are a lot of points on which human scholarly intervention is required. The decision might not be entirely correct in the real sense of the term, but would just be an interpretation on how the prophet (pbuh) would have reacted if he was faced with a similar situation. Hence the system would still have flaws (because of the wrong interpretations). Taliban tried to implement Islam in its purest form and we all know the repercussions. Hence as much as we believe that Khilafah is a system which cannot be implemented, we understand that the system might have very good points.
The first step towards the establishment of a khilafa would be a proper constitution. Muslim scholars around the world can join together and form a council and prepare a constitution. True there is the Quran, but there are too many grey areas for comfort. Is it legal to listen to music, Is it legal to donate organs to Kafirs, Is it legal to have four wives.
When such a constitution is written, people would realise what they are missing and would really begin to work for the same. Now the common conception regarding khilafa is the system that was imposed by Taliban...
Hope I have put my points across in an agreeable manner
Peace

Re: Islamic state and tolerance...

But what about surah al_Kafirun?

Doesn't it say in the last aya something like 'to you your religion (or was it God) and to my mine'?

I thought it meant that if people won't accept Islam after it's been explained to them we shouldn't fight them but let it be and leave it all to Allah.
