Yes, Islam is unpopular today.
The Middle East is on fire; there is war everywhere.
There are a lot of extremist people from the Muslim community using Quran for their means and ends, thereby giving the entire religion a bad name. Islam is a religion of peace and submission but because of some people, it is perceived as a religion of violence.
If you go up to an average American or British citizen and tell them you are a Muslim, they look at you suspiciously. It’s not a good feeling.

Muslims are also the most prosecuted community in the world so it’s totally unfair to completely ignore the other side of the coin. It’s not Quran or religion that’s turning people into extremists, it’s the injustice and oppression done to them on daily basis.
you have to understand the Hedonistic plus secular mindset of Saif when he openly asks for eradication of laws.

Agree. But did Said say Quran promotes terrorism? Its these groups who justify their terrorist activities by bringing peculiar interpretation of Quran.

People would justify revenge using violence regardless of the Quran. Like most people, he’s looking at the problem without talking about the root cause.

Do we treat these groups as psychos? No. They are all free to propagate their conspiracy theories and make normal people psycho. Why it is a problem that we can;t accept that there are black sheep among us, who are doing more damage than outsiders?

We can accept that there are black sheep, but it becomes a problem when non-Muslims view the smattering of black sheep as true representatives of Islam and the Sunnah thus perpetuating negative stereotypes and fueling hatred. And sometimes the black sheep are established by the opponents of Islam to tarnish the faith…why is that so hard to believe?

I think Saif didn’t say that. Our belief system is so fragile that we can’t even want to hear something that is reality. Can we claim that every person on this earth who call himself Muslim is angel and has nothing to do with terrorism and portraying bad image of Islam. That is what Saif was saying making some sense apart from other stupid things.
