Sharaabi I still think if one can do the act that leads to haraam without actually doing the haraam thing, then the person should be credited for their strong will and devotion to avoid haraam. Perhaps if person willingly does the leading act ignoring the possibility of sin and then also does the act leaded to, then maybe both acts will be considered haraam and sinful by Allah?

Now the problem has surmounted to such an extent that now you are teaching me and iam teaching you without regards to my circumstances
and yours what should be can be has to be or not.

religion was sent to us as a roadmap to life
we cannot stop every car or passenger and ask them to change their road
map use the one i have or you have or start showing people the path to
heaven while we ourselves are lost on the highway of life.

do what is best to prevent a forbidden act ...
thats the best policy ..
what i have done i am telling you ..

i kept beared to keep myself away from
sins
some of the examples :: listening to music,
avoiding a gathering which is harmful to my morality ,
try never to call someone names,
try to keep my eyes down when i sense a female coming
i try to go miles away from zinna
etc .. etc ..

what is the result
no one can justify contrary to these acts true to me in real life .. i may be short on words here but in real alkhamdulilla i aint short of words..

why am i doing all this .. because somewhere in my heart i get very much ashamed when i think of committing a sin .... i always think that i am trying to make my face like Muslims and on the other hand trying to be hypocrite .. by preaching islam on the outside and doing sins in the confined walls.. .. i really get a beating to death by my innerself .. so taking a bold decsion in early age has led me to the right ...

i dont want all of you to keep beared but i m trying to tell you how i keep myself away from sins .. it is hard but i try to do my best .. Allah is aware of my shortcomings and i know Almighty Allah will forgive for my shortcomings

religion is not described as rocket science .. it is very easy to get used to ..

and believe me you have to make a good deed your habbit .. otherwise you may fall short of doing that continuously ..

well if the limits were made by a human .. there was always a space to push them forward .. but if we push the limits forward we might step out .. if you know what i am saying ..
yeah it is hard in a community at our hands ..
but this is what is called a test .. and no one said tests are easy ...
so it is always good to play safe ... try to do that

The question is about what islam thinks not what your religion thinks.

If your GOD can have 16000 or whatever 'girlfriends' so what?

Reading this, it appears to me you are not sure of the terms boyfriend and girlfriend :D

What is a female friend or a male friend? If they are different than girlfriend/boyfriend, then what is that separates them? I personally never thought about it.

Lord Krishna had 16,000 devotes(gopis) and they were like his girlfriends too. But nobody among us minds it.

Well to me male/female friends are just friends, acquaintances, people that we don't have any physical attraction/attachment. They can have further opposite friends. A boy-friend to me will be the guy I'm in love with and I'll be his girl-friend. Now he can have other female friends but not girlfriends. Or else he won't have me anymore :D samjhay kuch?
