Early this month, CIA Director David H. Petraeus and Pakistan’s intelligence chief, Lt. Gen. Ahmed Shuja Pasha, held a secret meeting that focused on counterterrorism cooperation and ongoing US drone attacks in Pakistan. The frozen relationship has slowly begun to thaw. ^ The government is considering him for another extension maybe something to do with that meeting, after all he is most successful dg isi Pakistan has ever seen.
PPP and its fanatical obsession with any thing military is just beyond dumb. A 3 page thread hoping the government wont give Pasha an extension, when Pasha himself has said he wont be seeking one.
For all those saying that the generals are in the pockets of the US, wonder where they place the likes of Benazir, Zardari and Gillani? in their pants? coz these folks did a great job selling out the entire country, and now that they are at the possible tail end of their political careers, they can gladly say 'mission accomplished'.
Apparently Pasha may not be getting another extension. But if the US really wants Pasha to continue, than there is no stopping of him getting the 'stay order'.

Don't you know Pakistan's history? You don't know what your talking about.
Lieutenant General Ahmed Shuja Pasha, who has been the Director General (DG) of the Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) agency for the last three-and-a-half years, will reportedly be transferred to the Strategic Plans Division (SPD) as its head.
It is good news . This seat is good for him . This is a security job and he is capable to protect our nuke assets .
But he will be not much helpfull for Immi now .
Hope he will advise her successor to continue helping this orphan .
^ yes he is capable to protect the nuclear assets similar to how he has been able to protect Pakistans interests (and Osama bin Ladin) during his tenure as isi chief.

The Intelligence work need more capability and our intellectuals ( I didn't use intermediate pass because I knew he is BA pass) are not able to do that without CIA mind.
That duty is security duty and he is most fit person for the job . His integrity and loyalty to Pakistan is well known . Agar itna intelligent hota to Immi ki god kyon leta .
